  • How long does it take to get your money after your Prosper.com loan is fully funded on average?

Has anyone else here had experience with Prosper loans recently? They say it can take up to 7 days for them to review your listing before they originate your loan. How long did it take you to actually get your money?

  • What's the name of the piece of music Davy Jones is playing on the organ in Dead Man's Chest?

It sound's really familiar, but I don't think it's on the Pirates of the Caribbean soundtrack...not from what I was able to listen to without buying it anyway. Anyone know?

  • Anyone remember a movie from the 80's about 3 boys who build a spaceship?

I'm pretty sure it was in the eighties anyway. All I remember is that three boys build some sort of space ship from scrap parts, and the main body of the ship was an old "Tilt-a-Whirl". I know the thing actually flew because I remember them going into space.

I don't know why this movie popped into my head the other day. Anyone else remember it? What's the title? I think my kids would like it.

  • I love SOAD...but.....does anyone really, REALLY know what the hell......?

Vicinity Of Obscenity is about? I simply assume it's something sexual...that's rather obvious. My husband and I have debated this to no end for ages (well, since it was released anyhow), but neither of us have ever been able to totally, completely explain the whole song...a few sections, yes, other sections....not so much, lol. I'd love to hear your theories...so whatcha got?

It's becoming a sad, ignorant, and pathetic snapshot of society.

  • Can any Michigan attorneys aswer this for me?

Our son fell from a piece of playground equip. (just as I was going over there to tell him to get down!) and broke his leg, requiring surgury, pins in the bone, and a long recovery, with more surgury to come.

He fell from a retired train which is set up with ladders for the kids to climb on...all the way to the top, with NO railings. And we're talking this is 20 feet off the ground. My son fell off the back and then hit the gigantic metal hitch that was sticking out the back of the train which broke his femur in half.

We've been told that Michigan Cities (This was at a City Park) are immune to any sort of claim like this....but I don't see how that could be, doesn't seem right.

Is there ANYTHING we can do legally? All I want is our medical bills covered and I would REALLY like for those damned ladders to be taken down off that train. What happened to my son could have been much worse had he hit his head or neck (shudder), and I don't want this to happen to another child.

  • Does anyone know where I can buy Mead?

I found some at my local grocery store of all places, and it's quite delicious, but does anyone know if this is the real stuff? The "historical" kind? And if not.....anyone know where I can purchase some?

Oh! Duh....I guess you'll want to know the name of the brand I had. It's made by the Oliver Winery and it's called Camelot Mead.

Again, I thought it was really good, but I have hard time believing the real deal was that simple to come by. Even specialty winery shops in my area have never carried any.

    Thanks in advance!

  • Anyone know the name of this pub/tavern in Oslo, Norway? (Long Explanation - but important to my family!)?

When my father was in the US Navy (and this was 50 years ago), they were in Olso, Norway for a few days and he went to a certain tavern that my sister and I really would like to find someday.

He said it was very old, and once the bartender noticed from his service name tag that he was Scandinavian, he showed him this back room that had a very long table surrounded by large captains chairs. At the end of the room was a pedistal with a large old log book on display under glass. The man told my father that back a long time ago, they would serve ship's captains in there, and that they would always sign the log book, which was very very old. He opened the glass to show it to my father, opened the book very carefully to the last page to show him the old signatures, then as he was about to close the book, he stopped, opened it back up again, said "Oh what the hell", and allowed my father to sign the book as well, after which it was closed, and returned to it's gass case.

    Anyone?
