I'm looking for a green web host and I want to use ASP.NET. So far they all seem to only offer Linux/PHP (for cost reasons I assume). The only one I could find that offers ASP.NET support is Aiso which is $15/mo to even get DB access.

I'm a programmer and I've had some experience in web development through personal projects - but nothing really fancy. I want to learn JavaScript, particularly in relation to using Ajax, and hope to incorporate it into my professional repertoire. It seems to be a lot more complex than the basic JavaScript I'm used to seeing.

I'd like to find some good books that are clear and practical - not aimed at a programming noobie, but also not requiring a Ph. D. to understand. I would also appreciate some good web resources if anyone has any.

I'm graduating this fall from UC Berkeley as an EECS major (electrical engineering and computer science). It's a tough major, and not something I really wanted to major in (it was just too late by the time I realized) so my GPA is really low...like, less than 3.0. :( How difficult would it be for me to get into a good MLS program? Will getting good GRE scores & having work experience help?

My bf and I love each other very much, but I'm a little worried about something. We're both seniors in college, and as I'm an engineering major he's had to make plans around my busy schedule. He seemed more supportive during freshman/sophomore years when we pretty much lived together. He would come with me to the computer lab and surf the internet while I worked with my project partner. After he transfered into a college an hour away, we only see each other on weekends. That usually means he drives to see me because he has a car and I usually have to work with classmates on projects. The 3 guys in my group right now are great people and I'd like my bf to get along with them. He has nothing against them, but he won't stay around when I have to work with them on my projects. He's afraid of being the odd one out while we discuss our project. He got mad at me tonight for having them come over to work in my aptmt instead of in the lab (which even he agrees is a bad environment to work in).

I'm thinking about having a friend buy and ship a guitar from a Canadian company in Vancouver to me in California. What are the ways I could get it sent to me, and are there any fees I'd have to pay (like duty, taxes, etc.)? Thanks :)

I'm thinking about learning to play the guitar, but I'm a college student on a tight budget. Looking on www.craigslist.org I can find some acoustic guitars for <$100, but the quality is probably not that great. How good of a guitar do I need if I'll probably buy a better one if I decide to continue playing? Does it really matter whether it's a Yamaha or Fender (or some other lesser brand), etc.? What are the *essential* things I should be looking for in a first guitar? If anyone knows, I would also appreciate descriptions of the major guitar teaching methods. :)

What are the best & cute arcade games you can play on MAME? I love playing stuff like Puzzle Bobble/Bust-A-Move, Super Puzzle Fighter II, Magical Drop, Metal Slug, etc... and I'm trying to find more favorites. :)

This is a French song I saw a music video for on MTV in my Paris hotel room last spring break. I've been trying to find it for download on iTunes, WinMX, Limewire, and various websites to no avail. I'd like to listen to it again, but I haven't been able to find it anywhere. :( I'm trying to find it for download because I don't really want to pay the high price for an import CD because of 1 song...
