i get how to resize it on luna pic i just don't know how to insert it on the slide with out it taking up the whole slide

I'm doing a class project in science. We have less than an hour and a team of 4 to do a surgical procedure on a fake femur using only found at home objects. ex. instead of a scalpel use a box opener knife or like a pocket knife or like cardboard instead of a metal plate.

Any opinions on how to do it? The fracture is a transverse fracture of the femur bone. The bone is represented by a12 inch wooden dowel. The fracture is in the middel of the 12 inch dowel.
