  • For avid BBC news radio listeners...?

    I was listening to the radio around 9PM (EST) give or take an hour on either Monday or Tuesday night. The topic for this nights program was about pornography, and specifically it's effects on young men. They were discussing the disadvantages of young men learning sex specifically from pornography, how it may be contributing to rape on campus (they further discussed how there need to be laws on campus prohibiting the viewing of pornography in common areas and how date rape can be very violent), and how this generation is the "hook-up" generation and how young women today find themselves hooking up hoping to get into a relationship whereas young men don't want relationships because they are content with just "hooking up". All in all I thought it was a fascinating show, but I missed major chunks of it since I only listened to it on my drive home from work.

    Are there any avid BBC news radios listeners who can give me any information or advice so I can find a manuscript, or digital recording or this program, or even who the guest speakers were so I could read more literature from them? Thanks for your time!

  • Ferret owners, lovers, I need your help.?

    I'm putting together a ferret powerpoint presentation for a class and would like to find a picture of a ferret "folded in half". Ferrets are notoriously flexible and my ferret used to love showing off for people by lying on his back with his head in between his back legs like he was folded in half. I never took a photo of this, and now he has passed on. I also can't find a photo online of this. Everyone who saw my ferret fold in half loved it, and I would love to show a photo of it to my class. Has anyone seen one online, or have a photo of their ferret folded in half they could pass on? Thank you!

  • Physics and Calculators?

    I have a piece of a formula I found on Yahoo Answers and I need to know how to input it into a TI-30 scientific calculator.

    h = [sqrt{10 m}*(-6.70 kg)/(16.3 kg)]^2/2

    h = 0.844781512 m

    There is the formula, with the answer underneath. I understand everything under the square root, but what about raising it to 2/2 power? Isn't that one? I can't get the answer he got when I put it into the calculator. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

  • Has there ever been a case where someone asks for the death penalty and receives it?

    Sometimes Law & Order is based on the truth, most of the time it's fiction. In one case, a man wants to confess to murder, but asks for a deal. He will only confess to murder if he receives the death penalty, and he was granted it! Are there any cases in real life where someone requests a death penalty for murder and gets it?

  • Why do so many people ask for free pets?

    I just don't understand it. There are atleast fifty questions about where can I get a free pet. Most people are asking for speficic free pets, like teacup chihuahua's, german shepherds, or labradoodles. Dogs are a lot of money, the initial expense is just the start of it! Do people honestly expect a free dog to be cheaper in the long run than a dog they have to pay for? Maybe people think it'd be cool to have a dog, even though they don't have any money for one. I get aggravated everytime I see a "where can I find a free dog/cat" question on here and I want to know what is going through these people's minds.

  • Why does my spark plug keep popping out of place on my '92 Toyota Celica?

    My spark plug keeps popping out of place on my car, and I can't figure out why. The spark plugs are less than six months old and were replaced by a mechanic and I have never had any problems until yesterday. After a long highway trip, my spark plug popped out of place. After I got home, I pushed it back in and thought that would fix the problem, but it did it again today. It's not popping all the way out, just enough to cause my car to jerk under 3000 RPM. It hasn't stalled yet, but it acts like it's going to whenever I put it in neutral or sit at a light with the clutch engaged. Apparently just pushing it back in isn't going to fix it. How can I fix this problem? I can't see a mechanic until Thursday (two days later) and I am afraid that driving my car with a spark plug that keeps popping out will cause permanent damage to my engine. Also, what would cause a problem like this out of nowhere?

    I don't know if it makes a difference, but I have a 1992 Toyota Celica GTS 4 speed stick.
