  • Why would we want to tax marijuana if it were legal?

    It's inconsistent to argue that marijuana should be legal and taxed. If it really is an individual's own rightful decision to consume what he or she wants, why would they need a license to put a plant in their windowsill or garden? Would you really want the IRS or other Treasury agents inspecting your house and yard for untaxed marijuana plants?
