What do I have in my body that a lizard doesn't that makes me warm-blooded? Where is my heater?

Most of the pix are ones I want... but there are a couple that I can't seem to find to delete.

An Explorer search on the filename (which I know) comes up empty... and browsing the My Pictures directory is no help.

things I'm wondering:

* There are multiple users on this 'puter, so there are virtual directories, etc. Could these be causing my problem?

* One pic that I don't really want is a CD cover thumbnail. If I am connected, is it possible I'm automatically downloading the thumbnail?

On the evolution side... I look at a Whale's pelvis (and, in some cases, femur and tibia too) and that almost proves for me that some evolution has has occured. Same for speciation on islands, vestigal traits in humans (ex: goose pimples when it's cold), etc.

On the Creation side... How in the world did the genetic code evolve? If you look at the details of gene encoding and decoding via tRNA and ribosomes and DNA, it is truly baffling to imagine how such a mechanism would have evolved. All theories of the genesis of life get stuck on this most central point. It is much clearer how an amoeba evolved into me than how nothing evolved into an amoeba.

It could be that the answer to "Creation or Evolution?" is "Yes!"

And this debate (like homosexuality or abortion) is disappointing to see because usually it is not substantive; all people seem to do is read their bumper stickers to each other.

Yesterday all was fine.

Today *most* of the sounds my PC makes have vanished.

I go into Sound and Audio Properties, and it shows I indeed have no playback device set. (and there aren't any I can choose)

Everything looks fine in the device manager.

The kids have one game that works fine on sound, but mpst don't/

Any ideas?

I have Norton Antivirus but my laptop (gateway 300L / WinXP) is almost unuseable now... I get popups and auto-redirects to various junk websites - I have to kill IE with Task Manager when this happens.

I have a popup-blocker on and I do full scans frequently, all to no avail. Do I need a registry-cleaner? I am hesitant to spend $$$ on something that may not work.

Any useful advice appreciated!
