G M T what's all the debate about?
Greenwich mean time is based on midday being when the sun is over head at Greenwich ie zero degrees longtitude so why do people want to change this by putting the clocks forward an hour.They alledge that this would give us more daylight.However the amount of daylight stays the same whatever you call the time! If you want more daylight just get up earlier in the morning, it' stupid to change the clocks.I know the EU is an hour ahead of us but shops etc. start an hour later than us ie the same time as us.Changing the clocks forward or back is just stupid and has no effect on the hours of daylight.Comments please>
