  • Can I start Nuvaring after my period?

I had my last period from April 19th-25th. I'm due to ovulate in about 3 days. I want to start Nuvaring now so I'll be covered for birth control next month. I would use a backup method first the first week, likely longer. Will it likely mess with my cycle? I don't want irregular bleeding or cramps. I've taken birth control pills like this in the past with no problems. My periods are always regular, I've never been pregnant, and I'm 26 years old. Thank You!

  • To those who have been pregnant: Did you get any symptoms around missed period?

I was wondering if any women here felt like they were going to start their period, but didn't before finding out they were pregnant. Stuff like cramps, nausea, discharge, tender breasts, lower back pain, etc the week your period was due?

    Thank You!

  • What is the best way to filter tap water with high amounts of chlorine?

I recently moved to Corpus Christi, Texas and the water here is TERRIBLE. It smells and tastes like pool water. Does anyone have a suggestion for filtering it that won't cost an arm and a leg? I tried the Brita filter, used that when I lived in California, but it doesn't seem to help at all. I've just been buying bottled water for the last week or so, I want something that doesn't require frequent trips to the store.

    Thanks!

  • Should I wait to move to Corpus Christi until after Hurricane Season?

My boyfriend is in the military and recently got an apartment in Corpus Christi. I live in Southern California and am moving there soon, I'm just wondering if I should wait until after hurricane season. I have 4 small animals that require large cages, fish, and a 45 pound dog, evacuation would be very hard if a bad storm hit, I drive a VW Jetta and my boyfriend's Mustang isn't any larger.

Today is September 7th and I know Hurricane season is until November 30th, are any large storms likely before the season ends?

    Thanks!
