  • why do you want to dictate womens rights?

Since the Supreme Court decided that our Constitution gives women the right to choose abortion if she wants, why are those of you so intent on taking that right away? It does not affect you if a woman decides to have an abortion, for whatever PERSONAL reason. The US is supposed to protect our personal freedoms and taking this away simply gives the government more control over us. I don't understand why you would want to take this right away, whether you would choose it for yourself or not... We don't all believe in God, and to me this is a spiritual issue. Doesn't the bible tell us to leave the judging to Him? Who made you so high and mightly that you feel you can impose your morals on everyone? Jesus showed us love, and he loved sinners as well, so if you want to emulate him in your life, you should show some compassion instead of all this hate.

And if you think banning abortions will make them go away, read your history and find that before Roe V Wade, many women got abortions in dirty, terrible, back alley unlicensed clinics that lead to infections, massive bleeding and even death. Is this the lesson you get from your bibles?

I do not mind if you want to share your beliefs in an attempt to get a woman to change her mind, but don't force it on everyone!

  • How to deal with RUDE friends?

Would you say something to very close friends who invite you and your spouse over for the following Friday nite for a pizza party with an out of town relative who will be leaving the next day. and when you call on Friday afternoon to make sure it is still on, you are told "oh, were you gonna come? We did that last night and tonight we already have other plans". It just strikes me as so rude -- they could have called or emailed us to let us know of the change of plans! The male is a very long time friend - his wife is extremely lacking any etiquette skills. What bothers me most is that nobody bothered to let us know - it was only after I called them I found out the plans had changed. How would you react?
