Group of 120 people, 11PM saturday, where to go in downtown PDX for food/beer until 1 AM?
It's 11:00 PM, you just finished your show at the Portland Center for Performing Arts, and now you and 120 performers, friends, relatives, and groupies (don't we wish!) want to meet somewhere for coffee, beer and a bite to eat. You're looking for some place that will be open until at least 1:00 AM and has room for all 120 of you to sit together, and where there is _no_ live music (or loud music of any kind) because now you all want to sing for each other (nobody got to hear each other from backstage during the show).
It's called an "Afterglow" -- the show after the show. So, where would you go in downtown Portland?
1 AnswerPortland1 decade agoHow to mount closet door track to concrete floor?
I have a set of sliding mirrored closet doors which I need to install on a concrete floor. I cannot find the installation instructions, but I recall there was something in them about putting down a thin piece of wood under the lower track so that the carpet could go under the track (the lower track carries the weight because they are mirrored doors).
Has anyone done this or have any recommendations how to do it?
Thanks,
AJ
4 AnswersDo It Yourself (DIY)1 decade agoWhere to find "small single" bed (26"x80") in US?
Is there any place in the US where I can find a "small single" size bed? A "small single" is 26 inches wide by 80 inches long. (a "single" at 30" x 75" might work too, but I'd prefer the longer dimension.) I have a limited space to work with, and this is the size that would fit. They appear to be quite readily available in the UK, but I have been unable to find anyone who sells them on this side of the pond.
Thank you,
AJ

Assume green light focused in a 10-degree cone rather than a laser, and dark nighttime sky for background. How much power in watts would such a light require?

In the Stargate SG-1 (season 2) episode "1969", they visit an observatory to view a solar flare. What observatory did they use to film that sequence? And was the outside shot really the same place as the inside shots? Thanks,
