What is a good substitute for large plastic water containers?
I use plastic for a water storage. There is news that plastic containers leach chemicals into stored liquids. I am currently using 55 gallon plastic drums for water. I am looking for a way to keep roughly 200 gallons of water in a safe and sterile container. If anyone knows of any such container please let me know here.
In addition to water storage I enjoy gardening and aquaculture (keeping fish for food). The majority of fish tank plumbing is made of PVC plastic and the majority of pots and gardening supplies are also made of plastic. I would like to find alternatives for these as well. Keeping the fish in a ground pond without a liner is not a valid option as too much water is wasted from ground leaching. I would like a container for my fish that is not plastic. The fish tank size is roughly 50 gallons but I would prefer something larger, even upwards of 1000 gallons.
Lastly, I am capable of building and utilizing nearly any resource for this purpose. Even if the answer is a stretch, I may be able to figure something out.

I do not understand what the appeal is. Why is getting other people upset so entertaining to trolls? I enjoy the opposite of trolling. I like to help people and make them feel better. Someone help me understand the opposite view please. I think trolling is no different then bullying.
9 AnswersOther - Cultures & Groups9 years agoJet lathe 1642 - the spindle ram won't move forward when I turn the wheel, how can I fix this?
Hello, I was wondering if I could get some assistance with a problem I am having with the tailstock ram on my lathe. I own the JET - JWL-1642-EVS-2: 16'' x 42'' EVS PRO Wood Lathe, 2HP
When I turn the tailstock handle that is supposed to extend the spindle forward to lock the wood in place, the spindle ram does not extend forward. I tested this without a wood piece loaded into the lathe and it still would not move forward. The lathe is brand new and has not been used beyond turning it on and making sure the headstock functions. The lathe is still full of packing grease (I will clean it when I learn all the parts are working.) Also, I believe the tailstock ram is in the fully retracted position. I am brand new to wood turning and would like a solution to this problem so I don't break my lathe. Thank you in advance for your assistance :D
