Recently got a used Iphone 3gs from a friend to use it as a regular ipod with no service, but its not activated. I have a sim card but all it does is it says "SIM not vaild". I don't want to buy it a service plan. Limerain and Absinthe didn't work because it still says it needs to be activated before it can do anything.

Is there anything I can do???

I know theres no details about iPhone 5 out yet besides that its gonna be on Sprint. Im looking to buy my 1st smart phone. Knowing Apple, its probably just gonna be a lil faster or have a better camera. Would it still be better than the HTC EVO 3D? What are the benefits of of both? Ima probably use my phone mostly for playing music and watching Videos and Netflix

I recently got laid off my part time job at Kauffman stadium because the season was over and i worked in concessions. A friend told me about receiving unemployment until i get another job. I need the money becuz i recently got in a car accident and it was my fault, so i got to pay deductibles, repair my car and i got a ticket. I still havent gotten a job so i need money. Since i am a full time student its hard going places with no car. Are there downsides to receiving unemployment if im a student who also recieves gov. money for school in missouri? or anything that will affect me receive more money?

Need more info on how tornadoes are formed. I know in the US it involves warm moist air from the gulf on mexico and cool dry air from canada. What i dont understand alot is wind shear and updrafts and mesocyclones. a good explanation of these would be nice. Pics would help alot better.

Ive noted in some pictures that when they demonstrate how a tornado is started, the top is shaped like an anvil. Im doing a presentaion today on tornadoes and on a previous presentation the teacher wanted to know why that is or does it even matter.

I'm getting a new laptop for school so i wanted to start a wireless network so i can connect my laptop, desktop and xbox to the internet. I bought a NetGear WPN824v3 RangeMax Wireless Router and i inserted the disk and followed instructions and everything went smooth until it said PPPoE needs verification and to enter correct username and password. I dont know wat that is and i dont think i ever had one. It wont complete the process because it says Internet connection failed because username is probably incorrect. I DONT KNOW WAT TO DOOO!!!
