Cheap flights from Houston to Zurich?
Im primarily looking at a window of June 27-July 8, 2011 and i'm planning on going for 8-11 days. Ive found flights (normally connected in Chicago or Toronto through United/Swiss/Air Canada) for around 1025 but I am on a really tight budget (I am a minor without a job and with parents who, at this point, are not paying for airfare) and I was hoping to find something cheaper. I am also open to travelling August 1, 2011-August 15, 2011 for the same amount of time but I'd rather stick to the original plan. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

My dad just lost his job working with a clothing company, from which he made about 180k a year from. He still has his other job which he makes about 200k from and he is going to pick up other clothing lines to replace the one he lost, so he could potentially make even more money, but in the meantime he said we will be eating into our savings (which is large) until next year. I don't know how I should feel, concerned, or if I should even care.
7 AnswersFamily1 decade agoOn track for Vanderbilt/Wash@St.Louis?
I will be a sophomore
GPA: 6.7778 out of 7 (Supposed to graduate with either 6.75, 6.85, or 6.93...6.93 highest available GPA (no 7's are ever given))
SAT Math: 690
SAT Reading: 560
SAT Writing: 520
SAT Essay: 9
I get about 75 hours of community service a year. My class is very small for my school (still around 650 students) and I will most likely have these done senior year:
President of Choir
President of Math Club
President of NHS
Vice President of Student Council
And I skipped a grade and another grade in Math. As well, I'm on track to take 10-14 AP classes.
I just don't know if I will have the SAT scores?

1 AnswerHigher Education (University +)1 decade agoVacation Location Ideas?
I'm supposed to be finding a place to go for vacation next winter break for my family of 5 + 1(oldest brother's girlfriend). We have some places, but for example our spot in Mexico is being run over by the cartels and we've already been to Hawaii, so naturally we thought of the Caribbean. My family is 2 teenagers (18 + 14 both male), 1 young adult (20, male) and then our dad and mom. They hate being tourists and don't like to stay at hotels. Everyone in our family surfs (very well i might add) and we don't want it to be too expensive. What would be the best island in the Carribean for our family to visit?

I am a 13 yr. old male. 5'4" and 130-135 lbs. I am really tired of being overweight. I can't go to the gym because I take tons of hard classes and am always busy with different organizations, and the fact that i wouldnt be able to transport myself to any gyms. I still want to lose all the weight...it hasnt been bothering me until this year when i got into high school and people started actually making comments. The only equipment at home that i have though is a pool, a cycling machine, and some small weights (5lb, 10lb). The pool will be too cold to swim in during the winter. What types of workouts should i do daily? How long should I do them for? Thanks.

4 AnswersHouston1 decade agoWhat is the best place to shop at?
We are visiting Austin/San Marcos/San Antonio and we were wondering where the best place to go back to school shopping would be. One boy is 16, and is into banana republic and metropark and the "indie" style, while the other boy, whos 13 is into aeropostale, american eagle and hollister. It would be awesome if they had back to school deals. We looked and saw some like the Highland mall in austin, or tanger or prime outlets in san marcos. Your thoughts?

1 AnswerHouston1 decade agoBlood pressure in kids?
Ok, i just took the blood pressure test at my local Wal-mart pharmacy, you know the arm cuff thing, and it came out as 123/63. I read the thing and it said i had "prehypertension" for my systolic pressure. I am 12 years old (boy) and 105 pounds with a fat % of 18.6. Is this bad to have a systolic number that high at my age? ( I personally think I am overweight, i know my fat % is, but i have rolls of fat! )

I need a condo that sleeps 9-15 (closer to 10) ,that is ski-in ski-out,(hopefully quicksilver) and is relativley cheap but not a pig hole. A house wouldn't be too bad either.
