  • MS Access 2003 - Button/Macro help, please!?

    I have a form that when you push a button "1st Call Placed", the date and time automatically updates in the text box below the button. There are 9 of these buttons on the one form. (1st Call Placed, 2nd Call Placed, & 3rd Call Placed). When a call is placed to the speciality physician, the unit clerk is to push the appropriate button and the date/time is updated. This is to eliminate how much typing needs to be done and reduce input errors.

    My problems is this...the first time you push the 1st Call Placed button, the date and time appears immediately. When I push any of the other 8 buttons, the date/time never appears unless I exit the form and reenter it again. They are all running off their own macro. Any idea why this is? Is there an easier way I can do this so the date/time is more real-time? TIA!!!

  • Can I get my hotel cost reimbursed by AA?

    My husband and I missed our connection with AA in Chicago on Tuesday evening. It was the last flight out that evening so we re-booked for the next morning. We then went to stay at the Hilton there at the airport. Later we find out the airlines offer hotel vouchers for this type of situation. (We were never offered by AA the voucher while re-booking after missing our connecting flight.)

    So...do you think it is worth pursuing with AA or a waste of time? BTW, the hotel stay was $269!!

  • MS Access: finding time differences?

    I have created a database the finds the difference between two times:

    diff = [time_notified]-[recd_from_lab] ---> this works! it gives me the mm:ss that I need.

    Now, I want to take that "diff" and have it tell me if the time is within 60 minutes or not. I have,

    =IIf([diff]>"1:00","No","Yes") ----> this is NOT working. How do I tell Access that if the diff time is < 1:00 I want the box to say "Yes" else "No"?

  • Java Array help please!?

    I am working on a program and trying to get the user to input 5 names and their scores (any int would do). I cannot get it to work so I can enter the 5 names and scores.

    public class Election

    {

    static Scanner console = new Scanner(System.in);

    public static void main(String[] args)

    {

    String names[] = new String[5];

    int votes[]= new int[5];

    //int totalVotes=0;

    int index = 0;

    int counter = 0;

    System.out.println("Enter the canidates name: ");

    console.nextLine();

    System.out.println("Enter the canidate votes: ");

    console.nextInt();

    for (counter = 0; counter <= names.length; counter++)

    {

    names[counter] = console.nextLine();

    }

    for (counter = 0; counter <= votes.length; counter ++)

    {

    votes[counter] = console.nextInt();

    }

    int j = 0;

    for (j = 0; j < names.length; j++)

    {

    System.out.println("The candiates names are: " + names[index]);

    }

    int i = 0;

    for (i = 0; i < votes.length; i++);

    {

    System.out.println("The canidate votes are: " + votes[index]);

    }

    }

  • 88 year old uncle requires quadruple bypass surgery & mitrovalve replacement what is his chance of survival?

    The hospital here won't perform the surgery because they don't think he can survive it. He wants to go to Cleveland hospital because he is convinced they will perform the surgery. His heart also has an EF of 20%. What is his life expectance if he doesn't have the surgery? If he does have the surgery what are his chances of survival from the surgery and what would his life expectancy be after the surgery? I am telling him to not have the surgery and just enjoy his life to the fullest.
