Last fall I bought (through eBay) a Pentax K100 kit from www.empiredigital.us and they had to confirm the bid by phone-a ploy to convince me to buy an unneeded 'warranty'. They claimed they were NOT an authorized Pentax reseller but could sell me their own warranty for service. The camera arrived in factory packaging WITH a factory warranty card. They also told me the 'supplied' memory card was not fast/large enough to use all the speed features. I ended up having to pay the extra charges since the purchase was already paid by PayPal and I couldn't refuse it. I tried to contact them a month later when I confirmed the factory warranty was legal-and eBay had banned (removed) them as an eBay store. All letters and emails went unaswered, but my credit card company refused to give me back credit since it was now over the time limit to protest.

Anyone else been burned by them-and can we convince others to STOP BUYING FROM EMPIRE DIGITAL?

I shot several dozen images on a 4g card in my Pentax K100D-last week during the lunar eclipse.

saw most of them in the LED window as I took them and waited until today to download and edit them. This morning before I removed the card I shot some photos of graphic jobs I just completed. When I downloaded the card to my computer-ONLY today's images were there-nothing at all from the eclipse last week! It has been in my camera box since last week-no one else uses it or touches it and no kids to mess with it.

Any experienced photographer with a digital SLR know what happened-are they gone forever or hidden on the flash card? I did open up the 'card' on my desktop to see if maybe there was another folder on it but nothing is there!

I have the same type card for my HP Photosmart camera and some of those have images never deleted over 3 years old....

We have had no luck getting a 14mm standard guage to screw in to any of the spark plug holes. Holding the male end next to a spark plug, there is a wide 'shoulder' just past the threads-while the spark plug narrows immediately for the electrode.

Do we need a different 14 mm 'longer' thread end? We did check both the spark plug and guage in an adaptor that came with it for other size-and both threaded in fine.

Cannot even get the threads to start at all in the block.
