I just want to know how to set a speed dial number on my Android phone.

When I was a young child, I witnessed something I have always wondered about. I watched as 4 ants climbed a hanging thread. The one in front was carrying something that I realized was a deceased ant. When they reached the top of the thread, they stopped and the dead ant was dropped onto the floor below, then they turned around and went back down the thread. My question is, were they performing some kind of funeral or were they removing the ant from the colony to make room?
