What does premi labour mean?
When they say that a labour was premi, what does it mean? In my particular case, a lady I know gave birth at 39 1/7 weeks.
3 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoAlveolar Ventilation and Blood Flow Distribution in Lungs?
Hi, I'm doing a practice exam for Physiology and I was wondering why it's correct when they say...
"In a healthy individual alveolar ventilation and blood flow are evenly distributed throughout the lungs."
Isn't there more blood flow in the lower part of the lungs due to gravity?
THANKS!

2 AnswersOther - Society & Culture1 decade agoQuestion about Excel and rounding off?
When it comes to very large numbers, what does excel round the number at?
(e.g. for very small numbers, it is rounded down to zero).
For instance, when calculating the function (1+1/n)^n for increasing values of n, i get 2.718281 for a while but at one point and beyond it, I get 1.
What givessss?!

7 AnswersMathematics1 decade agoHP or TOSHIBA?! Urgent help please!?
I need something real durable. I've had HP as PC's and I've absolutely adored them, they're really durable without major crashes for about 5 years before changing the PC's. Just wondering if it's the same for Laptops.
I just bought a toshiba Satellite R20 tablet and it crashed twice already, forcing windows to shut down and back up my memory because of a major error.
Anyway. Majorly opting on returning the satellite and going for HP. I have abt 5 days left in the bestbuy's 14-day trial.
Opinions? Thanksss!
10 AnswersLaptops & Notebooks1 decade agoGateway or Toshiba tablet PC?
Ok, so I'm buying a tablet PC very soon. I'm hesitating between two tablets, a Gateway and a Toshiba. The Gateway can be seen in the link below:
http://www.bestbuy.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon...
The Toshiba one is not available online but here are the main differences between both:
- Toshiba has 512 MB RAM, Gateway has 1 GB.
- Gateway is Vista enabled, Toshiba is not.
- Toshiba costs 1800 $CDN, Gateway costs 1500$ CDN
- And obviously, the brand.
I never used Gateway before. Toshiba is known to me to be extremely reliable... but Gateway seems to be like a better deal... I am so confused, HELP!!!
4 AnswersLaptops & Notebooks2 decades agoStudent needs new laptop. How are TABLET PC'S? FELLOW STUDENTS (&others) SUGGESTIONS PLS?
I'm going to university very soon and I need to get a laptop so I can get used to it before actually getting into university.
What brand/model worked best for students in here? I'm hesitating between HP, DELL, TOSHIBA. Is Gateway any good though?
I'm VERY curious about TABLET PC's. Anyone who has them, are they any good? Does the swivel break easy, and if it does break, does the screen blank out? I just love the idea of being able to type/write simultaneously, because I type faster than I actually write, but I still need to draw notes for science/biology classes.
Instead of Tablet, is there anything I can use so that I can draw with a pen connected directly to the laptop?
It's not going to be a text-only. It has to be able to withstand relatively "heavy-duty" use... mostly using Adobe Photoshop, Powerpoint, Word. The usuals, but I'm going to use it often. I won't play games on it at all though, but maybe a few movies here and there.
THANKS FOR THE HELP!

1 AnswerOther - Computers2 decades agoFUCOSE_MAN: Question concerning your answer?
So does that mean that in all cases that I have to choose a major product for a reaction, I have to take into account statistics? If there's way more primary than tertiary, automatically primary "wins"?
2 AnswersChemistry2 decades agoHelp ASAP! Organic Chemistry: Chlorination of 2-methylpropane?
Why does chlorination of 2-Methylpropane yield 65% 1-chloro-2-methylpropane, if its intermediate is a primary free radical? Wouldn't the major product be 2-chloro-2-methylpropane, because its intermediate forms a tertiary radical, and is thus more reactive?
3 AnswersChemistry2 decades agoParkinson Disease Medecine DOPA?
I only found that the effective configuration is L-Dopa... what is L-Dopa in terms of R or S? I figured it out by analyzing the only chiral carbon on the molecule... is that okay to do?
