I have created a website with a simple contact form, which users can use to contact me. I am using a godaddy email account that has a 20 SMTP limit per rolling 24hrs.

The limit is not a problem as I only have 5 or so people that will be using the site and I can upgrade my account to higher limit, but  I am concerned that some malicious person may use the contact form and use up my limit continuously. 

I thought about using somekind of captcha to prevent this, but I noticed several sites on the internet dont have captcha on their contact forms. 

Is there an industry workaround to this problem ? Surely Im not the first to run into this. 

Ok, im trying to do something really simple and its just not working. 

I have a plain text file that has 3 ip address

ips.txt

10.0.0.1

10.0.0.2

10.0.0.3

all i want to do is read the text file into an array and make it display a full webaddress, for example

http://10.0.0.1/somepage.html

Here is my code.

All the logic looks good but when i run it it displays this:

"/page.html1.1.171"

Its like it write the 1st string, then the 2nd and the the 3string writes over the 1st string. This makes no sence to, ive never encountered a programing language that behave like this. 

If anyone can help me I would really really appreciate

WORKS FINE, But not the following

WHY DOESNT THIS WORK

I JUST DONT GET IT

I created a new content type using an InfoPath form and was able to link it to my webpage. Now when a user chooses "New Document" they are automatically taken to the InfoPath form and everyone is happy.

However, if they choose "Upload Document" they are not taken to the content type I created. Instead they can upload any file. WTF Microsoft.

Very annoying, does anyone know how to fix this ? I want the Upload Document button to do the same as the "New Document" button

Im currently studying chemestry and am confused why Cr2(SO4)3 is called chromium III Sulfate instead of dichromium sulfate. Makes sense to me given that another example Hydrogen Sulfate H(SO)4-

Any help explaining this to me would be greatly appreciated.

I want to write a php script that will go to a search engine, such as yahoo or google or as directed by a url,

Then autofill the search box with something, and return the results to me so I can display all results on one page.

Is this possible ?

I am running Ubuntu live cd from a usb and I noticed something odd. When I open a terminal and lookup my computer hostname I "Ubuntu" which is what I expect.

However, when I run the Netstat command, it will display my Windows Vista computer name as a local address?

Why and how is it reading that information from the windows OS ?

By the way my Windows OS is on the hard drive which is encrypted, so I really have no idea how this happened ?

I purchased a new vehicle about 2 years ago and still have another 3 years left. I can afford the car payments but the insurance sky rocketed after a minor fender bender.

I like my car and dont know what to do. The primary reason besides the accident Ive been told is because im still under 25. I have about another year before I turn 25 but simply cant afford a whole year of paying this rate.

My dad suggested I sell the car and use my old car which he has kept, but that would be a big investment loss for me.

Can we simply borrow each others car and put the insurance on our names? I would take the old paid off car, for 1 year, and get liability insurance and my dad would get my car with full insurance under his name, much cheaper?

Is this legal, can it be done? I really want to keep my car :(

ok, so i had a lot of adware on my computer, so i went ahead and formated my hard drive and reinstalled windows.

But when i log in I keep getting a message that says registry files corrupted go to winregistry.com to fix it

I dont understand how a virus could have remained since i even reformatted drive.

has anyone seen this before

any advice would help

i recently started having problems with my car

about 2 weeks ago i noticed the car vibrated when accelerating from a stop to first gear but only for about 2 seconds as i realeased the clutch

but now the problem is much worst

it now also makes a loud rattling noise when i press the clutch down no matter what gear im in even neutral

i check the hydralic fluid and it was a bit low so i topped it off

still that didnt do anything

the car runs fine and it doesnt slip, surprisingly, but still the noise is like if someone stuck a spoon down the sinks garbage disposal.

and this only happends when the clutch is pressed down

im planning on pulling the tranny off tommorow but im not sure what i should be looking for in particular,

should i replace the clutch, throwout bearings, or do you think it could be the transmissinon itself, although i doubt since problem only happends when clutch is pressed

any advise is welcomed thanks !

both have windows xp pro and both have wireless cards. I dont want to use a crossover cable because I may want to connect another computer as well and so it wouldnt work. I want peer 2 peer and i would like to know how to do it with out a router

im not too familiar with wireless networking and im not sure where to begin

do i use infrastructure or adhoc and what is the procedure using windows xp sp2
