We make 3-4 gallons of syrup a year. For each batch of 30-40 gallons of sap, we boil it on a wood fire outdoors until it's reduced to 3-4 gallons, then reduce it on the stove to 3-4 quarts of syrup. During the indoor boiling I skim off any white stuff that boils up, using a large "gold" coffee filter. When my digital thrmometer says it's 7 degrees above the temp of the water boiling on the same stove (not necessarily 212!), I filter it through a cloth syrup cone. And there's still some cloudiness in the bottom of the bottles. Any hints?

If I found my husband unconscious and drugged, I would be terrified that the dose would kill him. I'd get him medical help immediately, not ask for a wheelbarrow to take him home. Bree is not stupid - why did she do something so dumb and dangerous?

I have a serious suggestion to make that I think would help YA run more smoothly, but I don't know how to make it. How can I reach somebody who will really read my suggestion and who will have the authority to implement it if they like it?

Is Daddy going to be wagging his penis around in front of the kids? Little boys won't notice anyway, and I'd think he'd want to keep it in his pants around his adolescent sons, so what's the point? Isn't it kind of sick to have the kids examining Daddy's equipment?

Or is this election so far out of their clutches that they'll wait until 2008?

My aunt just gave me an old picture of a man in uniform because she said she didn't know who it was and thought I might. I'm pretty sure it's a picture of Herbert Tock, who died in World War 2. His mother and my grandmother were great friends, but I don't know of any living relatives to pass this on to. But somehow it seems like if I throw it away I am destroying the last evidence on earth that this man ever existed. What would you do?

Do people not know that they can vote even if they are the one who asked the question or are one of the answerers? A lot of the time there will be 10+ people who answer a question and then only one vote for Best Answer. Do these answerers not think their answers are good enough to vote for? And there are questions out there that are SEVEN MONTHS old and no votes! People are still waiting to find out the Best Answer to what they should do for Valentine's Day!

Once I've paid for an item, I feel like I've fulfilled my end of the contract, and feedback should be left. Once I got a negative from a seller even when I paid promptly and left him positive feedback because he didn't think I was enthusiastic enough in my positive feedback! Do some sellers want to intimidate you into leaving the "AAAAAAA++++++" kind of meaningless stuff? Why should a buyer leave feedback before the seller does?

My friend is trying to leave an abuser. I bought her an airline ticket, and now we are afraid he will be able to find where she went.
