  • CAN YOU PLEASE HELp Me?....?

I have started my essay on " A Rose for Emily" AND I NEED SOMEBODY TO PLEASE HELP ME WRITE AT LEAST TWO OR THREE MORE PAGES ON HOW EMILY WAS CRAZY: JUST ADD ON TO WHAT I HAVE WRITTEN BELOW PLEASE..

    A Rose for Emily

In the story “A Rose for Emily” I think that Emily is crazy and eccentric. I would say that the reason she has become crazy is because she stays in the house year after year, and doesn’t interact with many people not even her family. This whole scenario just makes here more insane, building up more anger inside. Her dependency issues are present throughout the story. The town also drives Emily to insanity because they will not allow her to lead a normal life. Her father runs away any boys that wants to talk to her. He thinks that his daughter is too good for them. When she did get older and into her thirties she was still single. When Emily’s father died she is left behind with no-one or nothing except for the house. After her father’s death I think that she didn’t know what to do without him in her life. She doesn’t know where to turn to for support. This is a result of her dad doing everything for her. She also does have family that she can talk to about her problems. Emily’s behavior is also influenced by her own expectations of herself, and her neighbors’ infatuation with her. Her father basically robs her from many of life necessities. She misses having friends, being a “normal” woman, and her ability to be happy. I think that he was too strict on her. He could have at least let her date and get out to explore the world. Her das being so strict was basically the reason why her life was ruined. As a result of her not being able to live a normal life leads her to be very unhappy. She also feels the need to control her man when she finally gets one. She was very scared thinking that Homer would leave her. She just can’t accept the fact that he don’t want her. In fear of him leaving her she went out and purchased arsenic, for what she believes might be the only way to keep the man that she loves from leaving her. Her loneliness and insanity drives her to murder her lover away, and keep him in a where she could rest and feel that he would never leave her. She was actually at the point in her life where she thought that having a dead lover was more safer than having a live one that could leave her at any point and time. This alone was another clue that she was going crazy because why would she poison this man just for him to be by her side. In my opinion, I think that Homer might have been different from what she thought. He probably would have stayed with her if she would have gave him the chance. With her dementia mind she really wasn’t thinking about the good outcomes.

    College Stresses

Many college students have a lot of stress on them on a daily bases. Some indicators of stress could be headaches, insomnia, trembling, or changes in appetite or sleep. One of the biggest stressors that college students have to worry about is how to pay for college, and many other fees that are involved with school. The debts alone is already stressful for the student, the need to service this debt can cause the student to over-work themselves. This might mean that they have to take on a second job or work long hours as an employee and a student at the same time. Making sure that school dues are paid can turn out to be a big obstacle for many students that don’t have jobs or, they don’t have parents to help them with these dues.

This could have negative effects with the ability to concentrate on their studies which could result in the student failing the course. It can become very overwhelming for the student to maintain acceptable grades. Freshman students are the main target of stress. The workload of college is more involved than the high school workload, and it comes with less support from parents and teachers. With the challenging classes, scheduling issues to deal with, difficult tests and other academic obstacles many new and returning students find themselves studying long, hard hours. For returning students it could be even more stressful because they haven’t been to school in over ten years or so, or either they can’t manage the time like they used to. On the other hand it might not be as stressful for a freshman student. This is true because a freshman student is just getting out of high school and they know how to manage his or her time.

While college freshmen face the most social challenges that usually involve creating a new social network, dealing with being away from home for the first time and finding less parental support, most students face social stress. Learning to live with a new roommate, balancing friends with school and work, and dealing with becoming a young adult can all be difficult, and these challenges can lead to serious stress. There are also other stresses that come with the college life. Peer pressure can also cause stress in students. College students face plenty of peer pressure while trying to get their degree.

Going to parties, doing drugs and alcohol are just a few things that students can be pressured into. If they are pressured too much it can cause a student to jeopardize his or her academic progress and his or her future. These students also lose major sleep due to staying up late. College students are at a high risk for not getting an adequate amount of sleep. Varying class times, demanding work schedules, and busy social lives often mean that sleep is a low priority. Most students do not get enough sleep because their sleep hours changed based on their workload. Other reasons students don’t sleep include stress, roommates, or miscellaneous noise.

Most students don’t realize they are lacking sleep. It comes out in other ways frequent illnesses, general fatigue, increased anxiety and impaired concentration and memory problems. When students are asked how much sleep they get, they don’t realize that they get sleep deprivation in little bits. They get three hours of sleep one night, five the next, four the next night. Night after night of this takes its toll. Sleep deprivation can lead to sleep apnea, a breathing disorder characterized by brief interruptions of breathing.

This is not associated with the sleeping deprivations, but another thing that college students go through is peer pressure. Students struggle between doing what's right and wrong. Therefore they try to do what they can to fit in. College students are always stressed because if they do not give in to the peer pressure, they feel that they won’t be accepted by other people. Peer pressure can be very hard to deal with even if the student tries to resist it.
