  • What's the best brake rotor for my Dodge 1500?

    I have a '99 Dodge Ram 1500 2wd w/ 318 and the rotors are grinding.

I'm looking at so freakin' many different types that I don't even know what's a good brand anymore.

Used to be that Raybestos was top shelf. Then I heard they moved production to China (Like that Sears battery that used to be the best) Then there's supposed to be Wagner, Brembo's too expensive for me right now, Bendix, Centric, AutoExtra, Redline, DuraLast, Dura Int'l... ARRRGGGHHH!!!

    What brand should I get???

  • What is your standard work hours?

Everybody... What are your standard work hours?

Looking for different country responses or US jobs with odd hours...

Where I am (California), the average work week is 40 hours (8 hours a day) with 1 week vacation in a year, 2 weeks after 2 years... Overtime paid is 1.5 times after 8 hours / day.

I would just like to know what's out there

  • I bet $20 on NY Jets, how much did I win?

I've never bet with a book before, but Saturday afternoon at state line (Nevada/California) I put $20 on the Jets beating the Pat's. The points were 9 1/2 for the Pat's. I don't know what the odds were.

How much did I win? I know it's not that much, if I end up with an extra $10 I'll be happy because I REALLY don't like New England, I'm just curious.

  • What do I need to show when pitching an idea to a possible venture capital investor?

I have a patent pending but am not sure which way I want to go with it? One thing for sure, I can't do it by myself, I need $$$ to progress. What do I need to show a potential investor for a successful pitch? Keep in mind this is not actually a business, just an item that can be produced easily...

  • If I let a ticket go from a few years ago, can I still fight it?

About 3 years ago, I got a ticket for failing to stop at a stop sign.

To be honest, I had totally forgotten about it because I had ALLOT of personal stuff going on (Including losing a parent to cancer, divorce, etc.) so yes, it has gone to failure to appear.

Just the other day, I was stooped at a check point and the officer told me it was there, but was actually a small $$$ warrant so he didn't see a need to haul me in (Cool guy).

So my question is, can I still fight it?

The stop sign I had allegedly ran, was more than 60% painted over with a beige paint and there was no letters painted on the street at the intersection. As soon as the cop handed me the ticket, I got out of my car and started snapping pictures of the sign and the street.

My intention was to fight it, but right after that, my Father went into the hospital and ended up losing to cancer. We buried him, and sold his house and all that (I was the executor), and right after that, my wife and I split up... So yeah, I forgot about it.

Can I still fight it? I just found the disc with the images... Oh, and this is in Los Angeles County.

    Thanks in advance

  • 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 2WD w/ 318 and auto, trans is acting wierd could it be...?

    As mentioned, I just bought a 1999 Ram 1500 - 318, Auto 2WD w/ 138k miles.

Just recently, my trans has been refusing to shift from 2nd to 3rd, even if I floor it to try and get it to shift, it just won't. If I put it in Neutral and then back into gear (while still rolling) it will drop right into 3rd and will start shifting perfectly after that. Sometimes even does it from 1st to 2nd.

I've noticed it only does it in stop and go traffic (I live in Southern California so it's impossible to avoid) so I am thinking when it heats up. After I get it to shift, it will work fine, but if I get to the stop and go traffic, it will start all over again.

Since there is no slipping or no other issues when I get it to shift again, I'm thinking it's not clutches.

Right after I bought this truck (6 weeks ago), I took it to my mechanic and had him do a full service, including new ATF and filter. After that, I have driven it about 3,000 miles (vacation) with no issues.

    Any suggestions?
