  • Wouldn't you prefer a prequel to DMC3, detailing Sparda's life?

After seeing the preview for DmC 5 (Devil May Cry), I couldn't help but wonder where this franchise was going. He's very clearly not Dante (Yes, I'm in the old camp). At least Nero was a different character, this new... junkie.... ridiculous. So I found myself wondering the above question about the future of the franchise

  • What do you think of people who "don't text other people first" ?

Recently I've met a few people who apparently "want to talk, but I don't text people first." The word "text" can be interchanged with "contact."

I'm curious, because this is relatively new to me.

  • The Fear of the Philosopher King?

I'm attempting to write a paper on the subject of tyranny in Plato's The Republic. Plato (through Socrates) clearly illustrates his disgust at how the tyrant acts, fearing those around him and acting in a manner so that he can survive (living a miserable life). I think that the Philosopher king, normally portrayed as someone who rules the people for the good of the people, also acts out of fear; perhaps the same fear. Socrates was killed, perhaps Plato believes that the philosopher king needs to create this "just city" in order to create a sphere in which he can survive (in other words for the same reason as the tyrant). I argue that the philosopher king is simply another slightly different kind of tyrant.

Does anyone have any other ideas as to why the philosopher king might rule out of fear or a reason that further espouses the one I have already stated?

  • What is Nero's relation to Sparda? Where does he fit in?

I just finished DMC4, and even with the little unlocked movie afterwards I'm still not entirely sure who Nero is, and what his relation to Sparda is. Obviosuly he's not as powerful as Dante or Vergil, but it is curious that he can use the latters sword as he does. Is it possible that he is Dantes Nephew and subsequently Vergils son? Does anyone know? I realize it is a bit lame to post this but I like reading books like this and I hate when a plot line is unexplained. Same for games too. Weigh in, if you have articles all the better. Thanks.

  • I'm looking for an online video converter and editor, can anyone help?

I uploaded a 3GP video from my phone to my PC, and I'm looking for 2 programs (online, free so I don't have to download them). I'm looking for an online 3GP to AVI (or if need be a 3GP to WMV) converter so that I can use Windows Movie Maker to edit it inot a clip. But first I need another online program so that I can edit the video itself (its on its side and I'm looking for a way to right it). I found a place to do the first but I've never found one to do the second, can anyone help?

  • Help with a History Paper?

I'm doing a research paper on Apartheid in South Africa, particularly in Johannesburg. The catch is, I'm doing it from the persepctive of the government, and all i can seem to find are articles online form the perspective of the victims (not that that's important). The assigment is to present a side of a story that is rarely heard, and this is what I've chosen. I have 4 books already (terribly hard to find), and I need some secondary sources secondary sources (aka online articles). Can someone please help?
