Backing up DVD's (how to, programs, etc.)?
My son is destroying a lot of our DVD's. I seriously just want to back them up for us. I've used some programs, but is seems that don't allow me to make an identical copy, with the menus and all. I've only been able to make .avi files to be played on the computer. Isn't it legal to back up your own collection? I'm new to this, so layman's terms please!! Thanks!
8 AnswersSoftware1 decade agoCarl Sagan?
I'm pretty interested in astronomy. I've bought a few books, done a bit of reading, but I'm no Steven Hawking. In fact, just the opposite! I'm seeing a lot of positive things about Carl Sagan's books and videos (Cosmos comes to mind) and am wondering if anyone here has seen Cosmos and what their take on it is for someone who is curious but not knowledgeable about astronomy. Does Carl describe in a manner that is easy to grasp and understand? Are his concepts still valid today? Please let me know! Thanks!
