I will be conducting a "Broad Stripes and Bright Stars" a medley of patriotic pieces from "Johnny has Gone for a Soldier" and "Yankee Doodle". It includes a rendition of the National Anthem (not the traditional military style march but very orchestral).

Does the audience have to stand for the rendition of the National Anthem or not? It's doesn't come quite at the end of the piece so if the audience stands, there will be a lot of standing around.

I've started watching a lot of BBC programing on DVD (BlackAdder, Young Ones, A Bit of Fry & Laurie, Jeeves and Wooster) and I've noticed that ta whole season is just 6 episodes where as in the states its 22 episodes. How does that work? Do there shows only last a month and a half and then they're off air till next year?

Like the poor sailor in Pirates of Penzance.... do you move your birthdate to March 1 or February 28? Do you list it as 2/28 and then only celebrate it every four years (you would be the only 4 year old with a driver's license)
