Tenant needs legal answers re: water?
We have a lease purchase on a manufacturing facility in a rural area. Our lease states we shall provide our own utilities. However, we are outside the city limits and unable to get a water meter. Currently we are running off the landlord's water meter (next door) and we pay the bill. The facility has always had water supplied this way, even before us. But since our relationship with the landlord has turned sour, he keeps turning our water off. Do we have any legal standing and/or rememdy to ensure access to water? (He is upset with/apparently blackmailing us for not meeting his demand to turn over property in our possession that may be involved in his bankruptcy suit - which he testified was in our possession. Since he did so, we don't wish to turn it over without knowing we won't be held responsible for it.) It's a messy situation with an unscrupulous character. Please help - this time we have been without water for 4 days and counting!

4 AnswersHome Theater2 decades agoHave you started to think you really ARE your avatar?
With my yahoo addiction, I see my avatar pic more than I see myself in the mirror, pictures, etc. I've started to recognize myself as that cartoon person. I hope I don't scare myself someday when I look in the mirror and don't know who I am!
4 AnswersYahoo Answers2 decades agoHave you ever sent out resumes...?
when you still had a job, were not seriously looking, did not apply for truly career specific postings, or some similar situation? I am thinking I may need to find another job (my company may close) bt don't want to just jump ship. I'm curious how well it works to use online job finder sites and just let them match up and forward resumes. Anyone had any experience, and specifically luck with this? I'd appreciate any stories you have.
4 AnswersCareers & Employment2 decades agoHow responsible do you feel?
Whether you are answering questions here or just espousing your views in general, do you feel that it's important to respond seriously to serious questions/concerns? Or is life just a joke and Yahoo Questions just an opportunity for a quick 2 points?
6 AnswersYahoo Answers2 decades agoFamily Rift: how to move on?
My mother has done it again - burned me professionally and personally. She walks away looking like a martyr and I am the bad guy, because I refuse to continue contact with her that always leads to more pain and hurt. This has been advised professionally. Yet, will I ever stop wanting closure? How does it reflect on me that I cannot have a relationship with my mother? This has been a life long issue. I just have finally gotten strong enough to say enough is enough. Doesn't make it hurt less. Anyone been through this? I'd appreciate hearing how you handled it.
