  • Questions about divorce in Illinois?

my husband and I are undoubtedly headed for a divorce. we both know things havent been right since the very beginning, and it has only gotten worse, especially the last 4 months.

We have a 10 month old son, and a dog. October would mark two years of marriage for us.

I have read that (in Illinois) in order to file for divorce under irreconcillable differences, you have to be separated for at least six months, that is if both parties agree on the grounds.

So do I start paperwork now? Or do I move out (I don't want the house) and wait the six months to start the paperwork?

Will the courts look down on me if I move out first?

he tells me there is no way they'll give me custody because I'm "mentally unstable" (I was diagnosed with bipolar 7-8 years ago, I believe misdiagnosed, haven't taken meds in 6 years and am fine).

He has just lost his 4th job in 7 months. He also has anger issues.

Should I take the baby and move out now? Or wait until paperwork is started?

  • TTC experts: what do you think?

My husband and I aren't actually "trying" to get pregnant, but we aren't careful 100% of the time either. (I think we are both ready to start trying he just won't admit it lol) We had sex yesterday afternoon, and about 7 hours later I started getting globs of EWCM... way too much to be leftover baby batter (haha) plus it is still going on tonight.

Now I don't know a ton about TTC, but it seems to me timing there is pretty close to perfect to get pregnant, right?

There is a catch though, I am currently pumping/nursing my 4 1/2 month old son... I have heard that nursing can sometimes work against your ability to get pregnant. I have however, had 3 cycles post partum.

It took 3 cycles to conceive my son just letting it happen... and this will be the 2nd cycle we have gone not always using protection.

My question is, with all of the given circumstances, do you think chances are good that we could have conceived yesterday?

I am anxious, excited and hopeful!

  • Is spaghetti sauce I liquid or a solid?

My husband and I are having a silly debate over this... I say liquid, because it is mostly water and you do not chew it. he says it's a solid because you can pick it up with a fork.
