  • Where is Floyd Mayweather, Jr.?

After his fight with Victor Ortiz, I have not heard any news about him coming from his camp or from him, What is he doing now? Anybody who knows anything new about Floyd Mayweather,Jr.?

  • What is the possibility that Mayweather will demand to fight Pacquiao at Middleweight for 160 pounds?

Everybody is speculating that Floyd Mayweather, Jr. is probably thinking of another reason to demand something from the Pacquiao camp. Demanding to fight Manny Pacquiao at Middleweight 160 pounds before signing the contract would be a nice reason for the fight to fall again. On the other hand, who thinks that Manny Pacquiao could fight at 154 or 160 pounds. For me, the highest weight for Manny Pacquiao to fight is at 147 pounds, and the best fighting weight for him is at 140 pounds.

  • Who among the Yappers were directly affected by Typhoon ONDOY?

I remember AGNI lives somewhere in Pinagbuhatan or in Marikina/Pasig/Rodriguez? Any news about AGNI and other YAPPERS you know who live in the flood affected areas? We feel the pains of the ONDOY victims. We may not be able to help financially or materially because of logistic constraints, but at least, we can send them our commiseration through Yahoo Answers Philippines. Any suggestions how we can help our fellow YAPPERS?

  • What would you do if you answered a question and the best answer is like these?

What would you do if you answered a question and the best answer is like these?

Please click or copy/paste on your browser the following:

    http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;%E2%80%A6

    http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;%E2%80%A6

You spent time and effort to give the correct information to the question, and then the question goes into voting, and you found out later that the best answer chosen is irrelevant or does not answer the question at all. And you know what happens when it goes into voting.

    Would you:

    1) Refrain from answering anymore question at Yahoo Answers and spend your time instead on other things?

    2) Refrain from answering the questions of the specific asker and other askers who let their questions go into voting?

    3) Vote as Best Answer your own answer?

    4) Create as many Yahoo accounts to be used for voting for your answers?

    5) Feeling bad about the Yahoo system for not putting as a rule and not requiring the Asker to decide and pick the Best Answer, instead of letting it go to voting?

    5) Not mind at all and accept that this is as part of the game at Yahoo Answer?

My first reaction is just to refrain from answering the questions of those perennial and notorious for letting their questions lapsed into voting. But lately, instead of worrying and damning the Asker, I just let go and continue to contribute my knowledge and help those legitimate Askers who need the answers.

  • What are the true underlying reasons why foreigners (non-Filipino) choose to stay and live in the Philippines?

I admire those Yappers who I believe are foreigners (non-Filipino) and are frequenting Yahoo Answers Philippines, and from their own statement and answers, they are Americans or from some other countries. They are giving answers which are civilized and calculated, and not provocative. They do not belittle us Filipinos and they give truthful and constructive comments without engaging in downgrading us. I am not patronizing them, but I find them participative and are enthusiastic in exchanging ideas among us.

I appreciate their decision to stay and live in the Philippines. Aside from being assigned in the Philippines to work, what are your reasons? If you are married to a Filipina, you have a choice of living in your country of origin, but why Philippines? Is it because of the lower cost of living or what? Do you find it better to live with Filipinos than with your own countrymen? What really are your underlying reasons?

I hope you will not find this question offensive to your sensibilities.

  • Who is the better learner?

Who is the better learner, the person who learns more and more about less and less, or the one who learns less and less about more and more?

(Inspired by the Question of Ohayo about the need to learn)

This question was asked by my Law Professor, Atty. Raul Gonzales, when he was still young and not yet in the government service. It took us two periods to discuss lengthily this question. And the explanation of my then professor inspired me in my quest for knowledge. I wish to keep my memory of him when he was still a college professor. Hence, I am requesting that you answer my question and not comment anything about him.

  • Will someone translate the following to english for me please? "Kmusta n kyo?ito ang bg0ng r0ming # ko,0k lng?

To David who asked this question before but already resolved when I saw it. That is a phone scam. The sender of the text is trying to con you in making a "Pasa Load" to his mobile number. If you do not know what "Pasa Load" means, it means you have to transfer a certain credit to his mobile/cell phone in order that he can have a credit load to use his mobile/cell phone number. Never do a transfer credit or Pasa Load to his Mobile/cell phone.

And for all the other Yappers and readers who will get this kind of message, just a precautionary warning to all of you. Do not be fooled by this scam.

  • Did you receive an email "Account Alert"?

I just got an email "Account Alert" allegedly coming from Yahoo Customer Care "customer.service1@yahoo.com" asking for my user name, password, date of birth, country, and if I do not comply within two weeks, my account will be suspended permanently. Did you, guys, receive the same email? Is this for real? I, for one, will not comply with this. I do not provide personal information over emails, and to hell if my Yahoo Answers account is suspended. I can live with that. This is just to advise and warn you, YAPPERS. Comply at your own risk.

  • Who first used the term "YAP" and "YAPPERS" here? There was a previous question why questions and answers post?

There was a previous question why questions and answers posted on this site is called "YAP", and contributors call themselves as "YAPPERS", instead of YATAPP and YATAPPERS since questions and answers are posted to Yahoo Answers Travel Asia Pacific Philippines (YATAPP). Unfortunately the question and all the answers were deleted for some reason.

Can you please cite proof or give link showing the date on who first used the term YAP and YAPPERS.
