I am 36 and grew up with the Tom and Jerry show. These were episodes where Tom and Jerry were friends and worked together to solve their problems (most of the time).

I tell my kids about these episodes and they don't get it because the only Tom and Jerry that they know are the older, much more violent episodes.

I know people will say that the 1975 episodes suck because cats and mice are suppose to chase and run. my response to this is that cartoons have always played fast and loose with reality.

the earth spins at 1000 miles per hour, so why aren't we dizzy all of the time?

my six year old son has asked me and i have related it to us being in a car. we drive at 70 or so mph and we aren't dizzy. he was fine with the answer but wanted to know exactly why.

my family is probably moving to guam next year. my wife is a navy nurse. we will be there for three years and are seriously considering buying a home there or at least some investment property for extra income.

anyone who has been stationed in guam or is stationed in guam would be of great help. my wife has talked to some people where she is in kuwait but i wanted to get a feel for myself.

i am interested in anything a member of the military or spouse might say on the issue of guam.

its not helping. i am dealing with some of the worst stuff ever. i am all alone all and i have the responsiblity of kids. i have religious convictions, i have been to group, i just need i need some well thought out advise.

and what is your favorite thing to eat on the menu?

i am looking for things to do with my boys (6 & 7) and to help me dealing with my wife being gone for four more months.

maybe a guys retreat or some other personal development.

we are missing a female presence and any female spouse in san diego with kids would be greatly appreciated.
