  • Do most people wear helmets where you live?

Do you wear one? Where are you from? I do, but where I live (midwest) most people don't. If I were to guess, only about 20% do (or less maybe). I'm just curious.

  • How long will meatballs stay good in the freezer?

I'm planning on cooking some meatballs for a later use. How long will they keep in the freezer? I'm hoping to keep them for up to a month or so. I assume they'll be OK, but want to make sure.

  • Young teens and weight issues.. was it this bad in previous generations?

Is there any body else concerned about the many young teens and preteens on Yahoo! Answers who are concerned about their weight and dieting? In most cases they're completely wrong about how they look and only suffer from low self-esteem. Obviously, things like the media (e.g., magazines and mtv) and peer acceptance have a lot to do with it. I'm 29 and don't remember this being such a big issue when I was young. But then again, Yahoo! Answers wasn't exactly around when I was 13. Any thoughts?

  • Snowboarding trip to Whistler? Medical Insurance?

I'm planning a trip to Whistler for next month and am looking at getting medical insurance since I've read that doctors there don't accept US policies. I'm leery about going with just any company that I find online though. So does anyone have any recommendations for travel insurance companies that they've used before?

  • Good side dish with roasted pork loin?

Hello, I'm planning on making a roasted pork loin tonight for our Christmas Eve dinner, but am drawing a blank as to sides to make. I'm thinking of doing my old stand-by of roasted vegetables (potatoes, tomatoes, onions, mushrooms and carrots with Italian seasoning) along with a simple salad, but I'm not quite sure. Any ideas for good side dishes to go with pork?

  • Mens bindings suggestions?

I'm thinking about getting my boyfriend bindings for Christmas. Something that would be good for all-mountain riding. He really wants to get himself a Burton Custom board (3d or non-ics); so bindings that would go along with that would be great. Bindings I'm thinking about are: Ride Delta Mvmnts, Burton Missions, Burton Cartels, and Burton Freestyles. I'm hoping to save some money too by buying last year's model. Any recommendations between those or a different set of bindings?

  • Ride Delta Movement Bindings?

I'm thinking about buying these bindings as a Christmas present for my boyfriend. Are they good bindings? Are they good all mountain bindings or more just for riding park? Any other binding recommendations?

  • Favorite song to snowboard to?

Hi, I'm just finishing up my snowboarding playlist and need a few more songs. So what is your favorite song in your playlist? Or top two or three if you can't narrow it down. I don't need a whole list though, just your favorites. Thanks.

  • How much wax to take off?

OK, maybe this is a stupid question, but I'll ask anyway. While learning to wax my snowboard online last year, I was taught to scrape off nearly all of the wax that I would have melted on the board. How do I know that I've scraped off enough wax? Last year when I waxed my board the one or two times that I did it myself, I'm pretty sure I left too much on. Do I scrape until nothing more is coming off the board or just until there's very little coming off?

  • Is it too early to wax my snowboard?

The season's still a month away (or a few weeks if we get lucky with some cold weather and snow), but I'm just so excited. Can I wax my board tomorrow?

  • Toyota Camry vs Honda Accord?

So I'm planning on buying a new car in the fall and was leaning toward the Camry though I'm planning on test driving both. And will still, except, I was reading some of the reviews of both cars on Yahoo! and found that the Camry wasn't very highly rated. I'm a bit surprised since I've heard nothing but good things from the people I know. What are your thoughts on the two cars? Any preferences between the two?

I'd be buying an 08 btw. Or maybe a 1-2 year old preowned. I'd be getting the 4-cylinder Camry LE or the equivalent Accord.

  • What is a good average driving distance for a female golfer?

I can drive a ball about 180 yards right now. I know that's not too good, but I'm wondering what would be consider an impressive distance for an amateur woman?

  • Which board to choose?

So snowboards are finally going on sale and I'm looking to buy my second board. I consider myself an intermediate rider. I don't do any park riding yet, but will, hopefully, next season. Mostly though I'm interested in freeriding, so I guess something all mountain would be best.

The boards I'm looking at are:

Roxy Ally (past Good Wood winner + magnetraction)

Ride Verona (may be too advanced for me)

Ride Vista (probably a better fit)

GNU B-Nice MTX (board I really wanted but it's hard to find)

Any recommendations between those? Other ideas?

Another question: Right now I have a 5150 board (so basically a beginner economy board), if I step it up in my next purchase and go with a Ride board, will I feel a difference in its ride?

  • Did I waste my money on RAM?

I just bought some memory for my computer for $60. It's 512MB which brings my computer to its max 1GB. I had 768MB before. So will an extra 256MB make that much of a difference or should I return it and get my money back?

  • Paper tax return?

I'm just being curious, am I the last person in America to file a paper return? I'm pretty computer literate, so that's not stopping me from e-filing. It's really just a preference since right now doing my taxes is so easy (I file the 1040EZ). Plus, I'm not in a hurry to get my money back since I file early anyway.

  • What are easy car repairs for a novice?

I'm slightly interested in cars and would like to save money on routine car maintenance. So I'm wondering what are the easier things for a novice to fix or replace in a car? I don't exactly want to get under the car, but more under-the-hood types of repairs.

  • How are you doing financially?

With all the talk about the economy, I've grown just a bit concerned about how I'm doing financially. So since I'm thinking about it I was wondering how others are doing in this area. Are you happy with the money decisions that you're making? Are you saving enough? Have any debts? Are you making enough money? What changes do you want to make? Also, please include your age and whether you're single or married.

Me: I'm single and 27. I feel just OK with how I'm doing financially. I have no debt, which is great. My credit is great. I'm unhappy with how much money I've saved. I make enough to save more, but I just don't do it. I'm not living paycheck to paycheck though, so that's OK. I just started my 401K a year ago, I'm disappointed I started it so late, but I'll have to deal. My one problem is, I have many big-priced items I want to buy, and know that I need to do a better job saving first.
