2 AnswersCooking & Recipes7 years agoWhat can I plant right by my kale?
Hello!
I grew a few kale plants last year, it turned out great, and plan to grow it again this year. My plants get so big though! And when I pick leaves (from the bottom of the plant first) to eat, I am left with a huge empty space with a just an ugly tall thick stalk. I want to plant something underneath it, what plants would be best?
Thanks for the help!!
3 AnswersGarden & Landscape7 years agoHow can I turn this brownie recipe to chewy instead of "cakey"?
They are supposed to be a healthier version of brownies.
The lady I got it from says hers are chewy, but mine did not come out that way.
Here is the recipe. I know it has zucchini in it, but seriously, it completely disappears, you cant even tell it is in there! :)
Chocolate Chunk Zucchini Brownies
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup cocoa
1 1/4 cups sugar
1/2 cup applesauce
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 cups shredded zucchini
1 cup chocolate chunks
Preheat oven to 350. Spray 9x13 pan with cooking spray. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, salt, baking soda, and cocoa. Set aside. In mixing bowl, cream together sugar and applesauce. Add egg and vanilla, beat until until incorporated. Stir in zucchini. Add dry ingredients and beat until mixed well. Add chocolate chunks, mixing well. Pour into prepared pan and bake for about 25 minutes or until a few crumbs come remain on toothpick after inserted into the middle. Cool slightly and dust with powder sugar, or frost, or simply enjoy as is.
Please Help! Thanks!
2 AnswersCooking & Recipes7 years agoMy grass is dying from the bottom up?
The top of my grass looks great. But its like its not really attached to the ground in most spots, I know that sounds insane....The bottom of my grass is all brown and I don't really understand how... or why. Or how to fix it. It is getting worse by the day. I don't want it to keep turning brown from the bottom up and then have no grass left! I did put lawn food on the entire grass about a week ago. It could have already been like that but I just didn't notice. I saw now because I was actually looking closely at it to see if the food did anything. I don't cut my grass to short so that's not it and I water it pleanty. Please give me any information you can think of
4 AnswersGarden & Landscape8 years agoDo the Subaru Impreza WRX STi's have to be stick or no?
Is the the only difference between the Subaru Impreza WRX and the STi a stick and all the function a stick would have? I'm very afraid to drive in the snow and read these cars were very good in it. Do you think its worth learning how to drive stick or just go with the he Subaru Impreza WRX and that will be good enough?
Thanks a lot!

4 AnswersVegetarian & Vegan9 years agoHow can I read my kindle books on the audible app?
It's through kindle, so I would think you can, but I can not figure it out! I just saw though, that I can not send my audible book to my computer. Am I to assume I can not read books I purchase in audible and cannot listen to books I have purchased already? If so that sucks! I am highly disappointed... Does anyone know a way around this?

3 AnswersGarden & Landscape9 years agoWhat kind of tomato plants don't grow very tall?

Oh, and does me cutting them down affect their production of growing fruit?
3 AnswersGarden & Landscape9 years agoLegs are killing me after only 15 squats! Please read and help?
I am 30, 5'4", 125, not large at all... Not trying to lose weight, but I want muscle to fix my saddle bags and my lack of an ***, lol. So I decided yesterday to start working on it. I did like 15 squats and I was exhausted. But, starting last night my legs began to feel so sore. Its painful to walk up and down the stairs! I'm assuming I tore my muscles and they need to heal and that's how muscles get bigger?
But my question is, is it beneficial to continue to do squats again today while my muscles are "in the mood" ? Or wait until my legs do not hurt anymore?
Thanks a lot for your input! :)
2 AnswersDiet & Fitness9 years agoHad panic attacks, now on Zoloft, but now have no emotions?
I was a happy go lucky type of person, and very emotional. I cried at movies and touching commercials. All around a very empathetic person. Sometimes too emotional, lol... My kids laugh when we watched movies... But it was who I was, and I had no issues with being that way.
I started having panic attacks so a psychiatrist put me on Sertraline, and Clonazepam. The Clonazepam was just to control the panic attacks until the Sertraline fully kicked in. I stopped taking the Clonazepam after the Sertraline was in full effect. My panic attacks stopped, the medication was working. But I became emotionless. I never cry at movies, I'm not depressed at all, but do not get excited about anything... Just blah...
I never complained about it to my doctor, because I was thrilled that my panic attacks were gone.
Well I lost my health insurance and I ran out of refills for my Sertraline.
A few days ago, I started taking my left over Clonazepam to ensure I do not have my panic attacks again until my insurance kicks back in.
I take .5 mgs every morning and every evening evening.
I feel great now. I cry at movies again, I'm a lot more excited to do activities with my children, projects around the house, work, everything. Its like my life is just as great as it was before my panic attacks started.
My question is, when I do go back to the doctor, can I tell him I do not want to take Sertraline anymore and just to prescribe the Clonazepam? And I know it is a benzodiazepine. Would this be ok to take long term? Would he even do it?
Thanks for listening!

1 AnswerOther - Skin & Body9 years agoMy sugar ann pea plants are lying down?
Are they supposed too? they are the dwarf variety of peas and it says they do not need support. The stems are not broken, but I thought they are supposed to grow straight up. They are growing in a raised garden bed btw...
Thanks!
2 AnswersGarden & Landscape1 decade agoHow can I arrange my raised garden bed?
I have an 7.5 x 3.5 garden bed. I would like to plant tomatoes (beefsteak and grape), cucumbers, two types of bell peppers, oregano, sugar snap peas, maybe some chives.... Can I plant all of these together? And should I just plant one plant of each or do you think I have room for more than one? By the way, I am going to use plants from a nursery and not seeds.
I've been reading a lot online about it, but I cant decide on placement either. My bed is placed so it runs longer from east and west and shorter from south to north, with our home being on the north side of the garden bed, so it gets a lot of sun all day long.
Any help on this would be great, thanks in advance!
2 AnswersGarden & Landscape1 decade agoWhat angle degree would this be? :)?
I have a 6x4 inch piece of cedar. I want to cut it on an angle so I will end up with 2 equal pieces (scalene triangles that the lengths of the 3 sides would be 6", 4" and something else. At what angle would that cut be? Or how would figure that out?
1 AnswerMathematics1 decade agoI'm cooking different pieces of bone-in chicken?
I have a whole chicken (breasts, thighs, drumsticks), bone in.
the drumsticks and thighs are obviously smaller than the breasts, by far. So do I not put the smaller pieces in until after the breasts have cooked awhile? I really dont know what to do, lol...
Oh- and just to get ur opinions... I've heard its better to cook chicken low and slow (350 for an 1 hour) and I've also heard short and fast works better (450 for 30 mins).
Which one is better and why?
Thanks guys!
2 AnswersCooking & Recipes1 decade agoBottom of raised garden bed?
I would like to make a raised garden bed. The place I would need to put it though is filled with weeds and brush. I plan on digging everything out, but am concerned about the soil, that the brush will just grow back. Not sure if I can use a pesticide because I plan to grow vegetables...
So...I'd like to put a bottom it. But can I? It will be just set on the ground. How deep should my box be to ensure my veggie grow right (roots and all)?
Thanks!
