KatGen Twinmom
Mom of twin preemies. How do I transition from pumped bottles to b-feeding?
My girls were 9 wks early. Now they are adjusted age of 1 month. I have pumped from day one. They just started to latch well. Unfortunately, with 3 months of pumping my supply has dropped to only about 24 oz a day (about 1/2 of what they need). I've had to supplement the rest. :( I keep trying to transition them to the breast but our schedules are off. I'm scared to not pump when I'm full because of my supply problems but they always seem to be hungry like an hour after I pump. I try to nurse then but they just get frustrated because there is not enough milk so i end up having to bottle feed them anyway. We are stuck in vicious cycle and i do not know how to stop it. P.S. I also have a 2 1/2 year old to care for so I can not just hole up with the twins for a few days.

I have tried repositioning the electrodes to alternate sites. It just increases the amount of irritated skin.
