1 AnswerHomework Help1 decade agoWhere can I find sample questions for a Biological Nat Sci interview at Cambridge?
I'm being interviewed at the University of Cambridge soon, and I'm looking for questions which have been asked at Natural Sciences (Biological) interviews in the past. I'm only having two "subject interviews", which I take to mean academical, subject-related interviews, as opposed to a "general interview", in which they ask more general stuff about yourself. I've indicated my particular interest in Neurobiology within Biology, and I'm finding it especially hard to find questions for this scientific field. I'd be very grateful for (websites where I can find) Neuroscientific or more general Biological questions, and also for feedback from past interviewees in this field!
1 AnswerBiology1 decade agoWhat would be a good book for grade 4, related to the Renaissance?
I have to read to a group of 4th graders (9-11-year-olds) in a few days, and I'm not sure what! Their teacher told me that they're dealing with the Renaissance at the moment, and that something related to this would be good. So I'm looking for a novel that is set in the Renaissance, possibly also Middle Ages or relating to knights. I know that they've already read The Hobbit, which I think is slightly above 4th grade level, so something a little bit more demanding might be alright. Do you have any suggestions?
2 AnswersBooks & Authors1 decade agoWhy is the concentration of free chlorine in drinking water much lower than in swimming pool water?
Why is the concentration of free chlorine in treated drinking water usually between 0.2 and 0.5 ppm, whereas in swimming pool water it is 1-5 ppm? Why isn't the concentration of chlorine in drinking water, if it is sufficient to kill most pathogens in it, insufficient for a swimming pool?
