  • I have had my identity stolen, do I have to pay the debt collection agency?

I can prove when I moved from an old address, I have P60's and solicitors letters from when I bought my house. The lady who moved into my old house stole my identity after my mail stopped being re-directed to my new address. She appears to have opened a bank account in my name & abandoned it in debt. I have received a letter from a debt collection agency demanding the money. She has left the property now as it has been demolished for re-developement. What are my rights?

  • Can someone help me to write a character reference?

As a co ordinator, I have given a few people references but they have always been from a prospective employer that just send me questionnaire's to fill in. This one is different, I have to write about someone for an adjudicator. This is really important because his entire career depends on what I write so I want to make sure I get it absolutely perfect and word it correctly. If you have done this type of thing before & you think you can help me, please mail me & I will give you further details.

  • Can I donate a kidney if I'm not the same blood type as the patient?

I am A+ & my sister's boyfriend is O-. He is having major problems with his dialysis & he is basically running out of time. It could be years before he receives a kidney from a cadaveric donor. He won't accept a kidney from any close family members or from my sister because he doesn't want to put them through the pain of the operation & he doesn't want to harm their health. He might accept one of my kidneys if it's possible but I don't want anyone to approach him with the idea unless I know it can be done. I thought I would have to be the same blood type but my sister tells me it's the tissue type & other factors that are taken into account. Is this true or is she clutching at straws?

If it is possible, how much time would I need to take off work to recover?

  • Is racism really that bad in Britain?

I invited a workfriend to stay with my family over Christmas. She has just gone home after spending 2 nights with us. We had a really nice time & she enjoyed herself too. What I found really strange is that she brought her camera with her to take pictures so she could prove to her family in Africa & all her friends that live in England that she spent Christmas with a white family because they didn't believe a white family would have a black friend stay with them for Christmas. I know a lot of us are fed up of political correctness going to the extreme but are we really that bad?

  • What will be your new year's resolution?

I am going to treat everyone as if they are my best friend. I have been hard on a few people this year & although they did deserve it, I have decide to take a different approach. Can you suggest any other good original resolutions?

  • My boss is pissing me off, should I tell him straight or try to be nice about it?

I'm a co ordinator & he's my shift manager. He is not running the shift effectively but as the co ordinator it's my responsibility to pick up the pieces. When I try to make decisions, he overrides them (not all the time). When I ask someone to do something & they don't feel like doing it, they go to him with a lame excuse & he overturns my requests, which makes me look a real mug. Basically, he's a nice guy but he's too nice, spineless even. He is more interested in making people like him than making the team work properly. He isn't there to make friends when all's said & done. I have told him I want to speak to him on Monday. What should I say?

  • Does anyone remember the britney interview where she says "they don't know how they have it"?

When all the hype about Britney started, when she started cracking under the pressure of her fame & personal problems, all I could remember was a quote from one of her early interviews. I'm not sure if she was referring to Mariah Carey because she was going through some angst at the time. I remember her going on about the way celebrities complain about how they are treated by the media & such & I remember her saying "they don't know how they have it". I thought at the time...Britney you are young & naive & that statement will come back & bite you on the bum. Can anyone remember who that interview was with & source a recording of it?

  • Did anyone see how to look good naked this week?

I was watching it on my break at work & they were doing a test on stretch mark creams & lotions but I had to go back to work before they revealed the results.

  • What is wrong with my daughter?

She has had a bad year healthwise but she seems to have everything under control now. One of the problems she had and still suffers mildly was OCD. I'm wondering if this is affecting the way she eats or wether she may be starting with an eating disorder. She is 5' 4" and weighs 7 stone & she is constantly counting calories, when she was eating normally her weight wasn't a problem, she was always around the weight she is now. She doesn't seem to be losing weight but she just won't eat anything with fat in it & all her meals are the weightwatchers ready meals she buys from the supermarket. I don't believe she is making herself sick & she doesn't seem to be doing too much excercise. I have also secretly watched her eat & she seems to enjoy her food & lets the fork touch her mouth when she's eating, I know that most people with anorexia don't let the fork or the food touch their lips when they are eating. Do I need to worry about her or is it just a teenage thing? She's 15 years old.

  • how do I stop my 15 year old daughter from burning things?

I want to show her pictures of the pain & destruction it can cause & also stories behind the pictures, preferably ones where the fire was started by a child thinking it was ok to burn a tiny piece of paper. She doesn't know why she does it & I think the only thing I can do now is to scare her straight.

  • Has anyone tried endometrial ablation?

I have heavy, painful periods & my doctor has put me on hormones to control them. I have tried other pills & none of them work effectively. Since I had the hormone treatment my periods are less painful & not as heavy but they last 3 weeks so I only get one week every month period free. I have just heard about endometrial ablation, it sounds like it might work for me but it also sounds pretty painful & drastic. I can't have any more children anyway so that doesn't worry me. I am just looking for some feedback from people who have had the treatment.

  • Why is everybody so critical of the way people spell?

Even worse is when someone has a go at somebody else for spelling something incorrectly & makes a spelling mistake themselves.

Some people are not very good at spelling, it's as simple as that. Being able to spell doesn't make you a genius you know.
