Abnormal thyroid problems?
So this has been a long road and I'm just hoping to find some answers. Since I was about eight years old, I have experienced a type of weakness when I don't eat enough. We figured it would be low blood sugar because it seemed to fit all the symptoms, but I was never diagnosed.
Now I'm eighteen, but this last year, I've had a variety of strange symptoms. I have experienced rectal bleeding, more weakness not only if I haven't eaten, but also if I have, heart palpitations, weird changes in appetite, panic/anxiety attacks, and I have a seemingly newly developed phobia.
Last week we got some blood work back that found an abnormality in my thyroid. I've looked this up online to try and find out some more about it, and a lot of things do fall into place. But I can't seem to find anything that relates to me in particular. Like, I can't find a single answer that covers the entire range.
Does anyone have anything helpful on thyroid abnormalities or any input as to the panic/anxiety attacks? Is it all related?
3 AnswersOther - Diseases1 decade agoFound a spider, what is it?
Okay, so we found this spider/bug (not sure) in my bathtub today. It's tan with grey down it's back and somewhat long and thin. It has either 8 or 10 legs, because the two behind the front set are very thin and small. We're not sure whether it has pincers. The face is somewhat furry but the body isn't. Any ideas?
4 AnswersZoology1 decade agoUnusual heart twitching?
I've been noticing this twitch in my heart. It's like when your eye twitches and it scares me really bad. Another thing I've noticed is it generally happens right after I sneeze...
Does anyone have any ideas about what this might be and if it is potentially harmful?
3 AnswersHeart Diseases1 decade agoFalling asleep during normal activity?
My dad has been falling asleep randomly throughout the day. For instance, sometimes we'll be at the drive-thru somewhere and we won't even be waiting for five minutes when he drifts off to sleep. And this happens often. It's easy to wake him up, of course, but it's worrying us. Also, last night, he was sitting at the computer checking his email and he just leaned his head over and drifted off. We are wondering if this is linked to any medical condition or if it's possibly just because he hasn't been getting enough sleep. I researched narcolepsy, but there is no insomnia; he falls asleep as much during the night as the day. Any suggestions on what it may be would be helpful.
Thanks in advance.
3 AnswersOther - Health1 decade agoMy little brother and sister...?
My dad has four kids, my 23 year old brother, me (14), my 3 year old brother, and my 1 year old sister. My older brother and I were calm babies, never really cried, never really whined or threw fits. My little brother and sister are my dad's children with a different woman. They are both very hyper and they throw an absolute fit when they don't get exactly what they want, and sometimes, even when they do. They end up throwing themself down on the ground and banging their fists and heads against the floor and screaming. They are hardly calm. My dad and I were wondering if this were just normal behavior, or they were just bad-tempered, or if there could possibly be something medically wrong with them... does anyone know? By the way, they're not spoiled.
6 AnswersOther - Pregnancy & Parenting1 decade agoIs it strange to be afraid of your own feet?
I was taking martial arts a few years ago, and I've found that it hurts for me to stand on my tippy toes, or to extend the ball of my foot in anyway. It hurts the arch of my foot. I went in for a spa pedicure recently, and I flipped out and started crying when the person doing the pedicure touched just slightly the arch of my foot. The only thing is, I'm only afraid of my feet. Your feet don't bother me in the least. Is this strange?

American Idol.com doesn't...
5 AnswersTelevision2 decades agoAnyone feel like American Idol is not being truthful?
So many people wanted Chris to win, but he got voted off. Also it seems as though it has been set up for Taylor to win. Rebecca Romajn had Taylor do an encore, and they always make him go last so that he stands out the most, like being the finale. Also when there were three, they gave him 03, 06, and 09 as voting numbers, the simplest ones to remember. and then they did the same thing tonight, they gave him 02, 04, and 06.
10 AnswersTelevision2 decades agoWho will win American Idol, Taylor or Kat?
I'm rooting for Kat. I actually wanted Chris to win, then Elliot, but seeing how neither of them are in the finale... what do you guys think?
5 AnswersTelevision2 decades agoI like biology, but if I go to college for it, what kind of career could I have?
I've thought about obsterics, pediatrics, and other things, but I'm still not sure that's even what I want to do. I think maybe I don't really want to be a doctor at all, but still major in biology, it interests me. What should I do?
