  • How come a 4.7 GB DVD only hold 4.483 gigs (according to Nero 7)?

    The discs are DVD+R Memorex 4.7 GB and I'm trying to burn a file that is 4.4 GB. When I tried to burn, the drive ejects the DVD and Nero version 7.7 says the disc doesn't have enough space. When i go to Disc Info in Nero it says the disc capacity is only 4,483 MB. I tried a Sony DVD+R and the same thing happened.

    Do I need different software or is this the true limit for a data DVD?
