My husband was laid off from his job last week. He was asked if he wanted to continue with COBRA coverage and he said yes. They said they will send him forms to do that. In the meantime, I am having major surgery this coming Monday and I'm included on his plan. Even though COBRA claims that when we fill out the forms and pay the first premium, that our coverage will include all the way back to the very first day he lost his job. We're worried about what happen on Monday when we show up at the hospital and they think our insurance card is no longer valid. Does anyone know anything about this sort of situation?

It's actually a question about the meaning behind certain lyrics in a certain song. Remember the old song by the Eagles called "Take It Easy"? Well one of the lyrics says something about don't let the sound of your own wheels make you crazy. Now my husband thinks that it references the sound that spinning tires make on pavement and that it would make you think you're a big shot and not to do that. And I always thought it meant like the spinning wheels in your head, like the thoughts in your head, don't let them drive you crazy. Opinions from you guys would be appreciated.

I have been assigned the task of writing thank you notes to those who attended a funeral for a close relative. Many people sent "mass cards" or is having prayers said at their church in honor of the deceased. I have no idea exactly how to word a thank you note in order to thank the person for that type of gesture. Can I have some ideas? Thanks to all.

Can anyone recommend a good book for someone who is newly single? I'm asking for my daughter and would like to buy her a book that will inspire her right now. She's in her thirties. She has already gone through a divorce, and this last relationship lasted about 4 years with the guy treating her badly and not committing. She just bought her first home on her own, which was a huge step. But she's having problems with being very lonely. She just seems like she's having a hard time embracing an independent life for herself and taking pride in her accomplishments. As her Mom, I can only give so much advice. I've been married for a million years, so my advice wouldn't be current. I believe there are probably books out there that would help her feel better about herself. Any suggestions from all you guys out there would be appreciated. Thanks.

We have an old wood burning stove, and we were thinking about putting a gas insert inside it with those gas logs. That way instead of using wood, we could just have it hooked up to our natural gas and turn it on that way. But when we visited our local fireplace store, they told us that can't be done. We're wondering if that is true, or if they were just trying to sell us a new gas stove. Any advice out there??

I just read in my People magazine that Pattie Boyd, who was married to George Harrison and Eric Clapton, wrote a book that's coming out August 28th. I've always been curious about her since she was a muse to both rock musicians. I'm sure she'll talk alot about the Beatles and her time back then. Anyone else as excited to read this book as I am?

So Andy has three girls left - Tessa, Bevin, and Danielle. During an interview, he said he really did fall in love and does get engaged at the end of the show. As for my opinion, I think he's going to choose Danielle. The reason is that they're making it too obvious that he likes Bevin alot, and I think Tessa is a bit too whiny and worried all the time. Danielle has sort of been in the background, and I think she'd be a good match for Andy. So what do you all think? Who do you think he will choose, and why?

Since Tempur-Pedic mattresses are so expensive, we're worried what would happen if we bought one and didn't like it. I know they're the kind where you sort of sink in it. Also if one person is restless and moving around, they say it doesn't disturb the other person. I'm wondering if that's true, and I'd like to hear opinions from people who have bought and/or tried these type of mattresses. Thanks.

In Chris Daughtry's song called "It's Not Over", there's one sentence that I'm not sure what the lyrics are. I've gone to several web sites and I get different lyrics. Does anyone know what the real true lyrics are? Near the beginning of the song he says, "Taken away everything and I can't deal with that" or he says "Taken away everything that I can't do without". Which one is he really saying?

I heard it again today on the radio, even though I know it's an old song (at least a couple of years I think). In the lyrics, it's a guy who keeps saying something like "we should get married" and "we're not gettin any younger", etc. Wish I could remember more of the lyrics, but the song has a great beat to it. Can anyone out there point me in the right direction so I can get this song? I love it.

I love that show, but absolutely hate the new crew they have for the new season. I want to know if anyone else shares my opinion. Niecy Nash, the host, is fabulous. Thank goodness they kept her. But Trish and John Eric are horrible additions. Trish is suppose to be the "yard sale" person, but so far hasn't shown any knowledge in that area. Plus her voice is so grating - she needs a cough drop real bad. And John Eric is the "go to" guy - whatever THAT is. He's a waste of space and does absolutely nothing, other than insult the lady in the Bos Family episode by getting her a personal trainer. I want them to bring back Linda Koopersmith who did the organizing and Allen Hass who was the yard sale guy. I want so much to write to the show, but cannot find a way to do that anywhere. If anyone knows of a link where I can do that, it would be appreciated. What are your thoughts?

I just purchased a stamped cross stitch tablecloth. It's been a long time since I've done cross stitch, so I have a question. The kit calls for me to use four strands of floss. When I start, do I knot it in the back so it won't pull through, or do I let a long tail in the back and just weave it through a few of the X's. What's the best way? Thanks for any pointers you can give me.

Does anyone else but me think it's strange that we still haven't seen a picture of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes's daughter, Suri, yet? All the other celebrities have had professional pictures shown on covers of magazines looking very proud of their new offspring. What's with Tom & Katie then? It makes you wonder if there's something wrong with the baby. Maybe they're just being overly protective. What do you think?

I was riding in the car yesterday and flipping channels. I heard the last half of a killer song that I'd like to get, but I have no clue what the title is or who sang it. It was "hard rock", sounded like a group, and the guy was saying something about "water" and "wash away the sins of you and me". Does that ring a bell for anyone out there? Thanks.

Has anyone ever heard about what the real reason was behind the breakup of the friendship of Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie? To be lifelong friends, and now hate each other, makes me think it was something really horrible. Does anybody know?
