My job is having a baby shower at my work place for a coworker/supervisor that I don't hate but has never been friendly with me and has in the past said and done things that indicates she does not like me . She also had a shower outside of work and invited all my other coworkers(including a new person who had been working here for less than a week) but excluded me. The shower is during work hours and not mandatory but in all honesty I'd rather stay in my office than participate. Am I being rude in refusing to attend?

My brother and his girlfriend have been in a long distance relationship for a while now and he just recently came to me asking for advice. His girlfriend has been hanging around this guy recently(a friend she has known for years but they have been hanging out for a little over a month now) and spends practically every day with him even though she says that she and this other guy are just friends. She even complained to my brother about how her cell phone bill was over two hundred dollars because of how much they call and text each other.

My brother is uncomfortable of the situation because of the fact that she is always with this guy and this friend apparently used to have a crush on her. My brother mentioned to his gf how he felt but for the most part she blew him off. Honestly, I think he should question whether or not he should still be with her, but I was wondering if anyone else out there has any other ideas on what he should do?

I won a turkey in a drawing, but I don't have a kitchen. I would love to donate it to a local homeless shelter but I'm not totally familiar with the area. Where can I find the information I need?

I have a co-worker who has a serious attitude problem and talks down or talks plain nasty to any girl who is not her friend(yet, is sweet and cuddly with all the male co-workers). Today she acted sort of nasty to me and normally I would just go on and ignore it, but I don't want her to think that just because I ignore her doesn't mean that I don't deserve respect or that I should be treated as an adult(especially considering that I am older than her). I want to stop the little nastiness coming my way, but I'm not the greatest at confrontations.One person at work confronted her about this and she turned around and told her supervisor some sob story and made herself out to be the victim when it was outright lie. What can I do?

By some clerical error one of my credit cards got overpaid by a thousand dollars! I ended up way overdrawn on my account because of this and my bank is assessing me a lot of fees, plus my other bills haven't been paid because of this. I already called the credit card company and they were willing to refund my money but it would take two weeks to a month before I would receive anything.

My bank is also trying to force the credit card company to refund me my money but even that will take a while. I have bills to pay and it honestly seems as if the credit card company are dragging their feet trying to give me back my money(The customer service rep told me that they had to take time to process everything, but do they really need that much time?). I am becoming very frustrated and angry and I need advice on how to force them to give me my money back now. Please help

I'm new in the Air Force and want to get my hair put into Senegalese twists, but I'm unsure about whether this would be allowed or not. I know that as far as the AFI is concerned, it doesn't mention twists not being allowed but I really need to hear from other black women in the Air Force whether or not it is a rule breaker.

I'm active duty in the Air Force and stationed at Andrews AFB. I haven't lived in this area too long and I need to know if there are any good places to volunteer on weekends. I'm interested in either being a rape survivor advocate, working with domestic violence victims, or even doing some peer counseling. I have a bachelor's in social work and just feel that I'm wasting it when I could be using my training to help others,especially since I love working with people. If anyone can point me to some good organizations to talk to, it would be greatly appreciated.

I have a four year degree and am newly enlisted and at my permanent duty station. Due to the fact that the AF wants my particular degree program to be in a master's and not a bachelor's, what can I do in order to be able to go back to school and get my master's as soon as possible? I've already looked over what education programs I could apply for but I basically need to know the tricks or processes that others don't tell you about.

I heard this song on the Bob and Tom Show last year and it was about this guy who was listing all the bad things that happened to him and he put a positive spin on each one. One of the lines went something like "My car was stolen today" he pauses and says "HA, HA no brakes! It is going to be a great day!"

Any help on getting the title and artist of the song is very much appreciated because I need something to cheer me up.

It seems as if whenever I eat fresh fruit of any kind I get very sick to my stomach. I'm reasonably healthy and I'm not pregnant. Does anyone have any idea what is wrong with me?
