I have gained more weight than I like due to not being mobile enough, due to health reasons. I would like to join Slimming World online as my daughter has had a very good weightloss (just over 2stone!) in 18 months but I want to do this without telling anyone ... Therefor I was thinking to do this online as my husband would not have to take me to the weekly meetings. I wondered tho if it's just as good as going to weekly groups? Do you get enough support being online?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated or maybe some links to healthy recipes perhaps?

her body feels warm though. We came in half an hour ago and went to her bed, she kinda stood up but that was it, she didn't move otherwise. She seemed unresponsive to us.... I have set her next to me on the couch and she doesn't move as I'm stroking her, except for her shaking. She is not in pain as she is letting us pick her up etc

I am 51 and due to 3 major operations on the abdomen I am now plagued with persisting scar tissue that is very painful and I can walk to the shops in the village slowly, which takes me 15 minutes but to walk back I am in pain and need to sit down to take the weight off my lower back.

It would help me a great deal to have my independence as I don't drive, plus I wouldn't have to ask my husband who was laid up for 3 weeks just recently and on bed rest ... As I have said, it is vanity and even more sadly what people might think seeing me on a mobility scooter. May I just add that I am not registered disabled, this is down to the 3 operations I have had in the past 3yrs.

I'm having my 50th birthday in a hall and doing the food myself as in a finger buffet. I have 70 adults and 20 children attending... can anyone please help me as what kind of food to put on and how to work out the amount of food, as I don't want food to be wasted.

Can I say that it only cold food to be put on the table as I have nowhere to heat food up.

this is a charity for ovarian cancer which I was diagnosed with in April 2009. I am holding a raffle for this charity and would like to know from other people how to go about asking for decent prizes from shops etc? I have a letter from OVACOME stating that I am fundraising for them, also leaflets that I can show about the charity.... If there is anyone out there that has done the same, what was the response? Any help would be gratefully appreciated as this is my first time doing this.

It's my 50th birthday in April and what I want to do is have a party with family and friends. This would have to be held in a hall - which I have done but this may be closing down. Now the problem is that funds are very tight due to circumstances beyond our control..... What I would like to know is if anyone has any ideas how to celebrate a 50th? I am a party girl and would really like to celebrate as I have been battling cancer for the past 2yrs (ovarian cancer) and had 3 mayor operations in the past 18 months.... thanks beforehand for any ideas!

I have been suffering for some time now with terrible stomach spasms that are very painful, the pain results me feeling nauseous and to have diarrhoea. I have kept a food diary but can not find anything that is setting this off. I am being referred to the gastroenterology in 2 weeks time but in the meantime I would like some advice if anyone could help.

I have recently been diagnosed with a cyst on my right ovary, I've had a CT scan done which has shown an enlarged lymph node and my blood test CA-125 has come back signifingtly raised at 700 which could indicate cancer.

My question is does anyone know what the normal range should be of the CA-125.... has anyone else been through the same kind of diagnosis and what was done? I am going into hospital in the next 2 weeks for a full hysterectomy.

and when they had a scan done that it revealed also a swollen lymph node? That is what has happened with me and also I had bloods taken and those have come back raised with concerns about cancer.

I would appreciate anyone who has been treated and what the outcome was.... I am booked in to go for a full hysterectomy in 3 weeks time and then biopsies will be taken.

are you then classed as a disabled person? My sister in-law has just had one and is wondering the question.... is she now classed as disabled? I would appreciate anyone who could clarify this.

how to download songs from Itunes to a MP3 player?

I've recently aquired Itunes (which is great) but want to download the tunes I've purchased onto my MP3 player, for some reason it will only transfer them onto an IPOD which I won't be getting until next year...... there must be a way to do it isn't there?

We have recently put our washing machine in the outhouse. We have connected the water pipes and everything is in working order but we are wondering if we can put the waste water pipe down the drainpipe grid which also takes the rainwater from the gutters or do we have to run it into the grid from the kitchen waste pipe?
