  • What's the Name of this 1940s Movie?

I can't remember the name of this black & white movie I saw. I believe it was made in the 40s. It involves a bachelorette and her younger teen sister living in a large house next to the sea. They both end up falling in love with a fortune teller.

I can vaguely remember certain scenes from the movie. One of the opening scenes shows the back of the older sister in her bedroom. Then you see a shadow behind her of someone holding a gun, but when the person walks into the frame and you realize it wasn't a gun but a hairbrush and the person was just her younger sister.

Another scene features the sisters at the fortune tellers house. There are white, ghostly heads foating around, but you discover later it's all an illusion and he's not really capable of conjuring up the dead. I also remember a scene where the older sister almost falls off the cliff behind their house. There are crows on the beach and I think its where the older sister meets the fortune teller to begin with.

That's about all I can remember, if you recognize the movie, the title or any addition details or anything would be helpful. Thank you.

  • Will Ice Cream Makers Sell More Containers of Ice Cream at the New Smaller Size? An Economics Question?

This is a homework question from Economics that I can't figure out.

Ice cream makers are selling ice cream for the same price but in smaller containers. Based on economic theories, will these companies sell more, less, or the same amount of the smaller cartons than they did before? Why? Elasticity of demand >1.

My attempt to answer the question: Ice cream is an elastic good for which there are many substitutes. The price per unit of ice cream increased. Therefore, the companies will sell less ice cream because consumers will seek out substitutes that are less expensive than the ice cream is per unit.

    Am I right?

  • How do I Export a Flash (SWF) file to a MPG or AVI File?

I drew several pictures, scanned them into a computer and imported them into flash. I need to be able to burn the file on a DVD so I can watch it via a DVD player. I don't know how to do this. Exporting as an AVI doesn't play export the movie clips properly. Using an SWF to AVI converter from the internet isn't working because my flash file is so big, the sound doesn't play the same speed as the visual so the sound doesn't sync. I don't know what to do. I know some how it's possible because I have seen flash files on DVD for demo reels and such. Please help.
