Apple computer ID problem with iTunes?
I recently changed my Apple ID and password, which has been verified with Apple. Now, however, when I try to sign in at the iTunes Store with my new ID and password I get the strange message "This ID has not yet been used with ITunes" and it wont let me sign on. A panel pops up that takes you to Apple's help area where you change your ID again. I've gone through that process several times and iTunes refuses to recognize whatever new ID I use. Anyone have any ideas how I can get a round this? I'm unable to buy any tunes or update my apps.
1 AnswerSecurity8 years agoHow do I get a job in Victoria B.C.?
I have more than 25 years as a daily newspaper editor, designer, writer with department head experience. Newspapers are shedding newsroom positions. We've contemplated moving to Victoria for a number of years but the daily newspaper is currently offering buyouts so I would have to find work in a different profession that could use my skill set. I've exhausted most of the BC job websites. Any advice on expanding my search?

1 AnswerOther - Careers & Employment1 decade agoHow do I fix this garageband problem?
My older G5 Macintosh recently died. I bought a new one running Snow Leopard and it's amazing.
However, I had my files from my old computer transferred to the new one and now there's a small problem with Garageband. I put together numerous customized instruments using audio units in the old Garageband and some of them now crash Garageband in Snow Leopard. Usually you can select the instrument and hit delete and it's gone, but the program crashes as soon as I click the selection before it can be removed. I've searched the machine to see if there's a folder with any file names matching my customized instruments and they don't seem to exist.
I've gone through my instrument lists and have catalogued the ones that crash so I can stay away from them. But it would be nice to get rid of them permanently.
Anyone got any ideas. Thanks in advance

1 AnswerRock and Pop1 decade agoWhy are there lines on my Macintosh G5 screen?
Been having problems with my 3-year-old Mac G5 screen. On a white background you can see a faint series of horizontal lines, maybe 150 from top to bottom, sort of 10% blue in colour. And now, when looking at a photo in photoshop, the quality of the display seems to be in "thousands" of pixels even thought it's set at millions. The problem goes away for short periods of time. Anyone ever experience this? Is the screen about to croak, or could it be a virus?
Thanks for any help.

4 AnswersHockey1 decade agoSo, with all these NHL owners in trouble with the law, why does the league consider Jim Balsillie such a risk?
Balsillie — the guy who brought the world the Blackberry and who wanted to buy Pittsburgh or the Predators — would seem to be the model for what NHL owners should be, unlike Bettman's budddies who are up on charges, who have pled guilty to charges, or who have been carted off to jail in recent years. More details at the site below.
9 AnswersHockey1 decade agoIsn't looking more and more like the NHL's union dissidents .. eg .Chelios, Larmer were right about Ted Saskin
Check out the latest wrinkle. Sounds like Saskin was closer to Bettman and Daly than he was to many of the players he was working for. And don't miss a TSN reporter's role in this towards the end of the story.
3 AnswersHockey1 decade agoWhy is it that revenue raised by Canadian NHL teams is so much higher that their US counterparts?
I'm throwing this out there because I keep seeing mistaken references in this forum about how the NHL prefers to start franchises in the U.S. because the Canadian teams don't make money. The opposite is true.
From Kevin McGran of the Toronto Star:
The six Canadian teams, representing 20 per cent of the 30-team league, account for 33.3 per cent of all NHL revenues.
That means Canadian team fans cough up an estimated $733 million (all figures U.S.) of the league's $2.2 billion revenue.
Whether it's a family buying season tickets, individuals buying sweaters, advertisers buying in-arena signage, radio and television companies purchasing broadcast rights and people parking their cars in club-owned lots, Canadian teams have economic clout.
Those facts came to light this week when agents gathered at an NHL Players' Association meeting where league revenues and salary-cap issues were discussed
