I have a video on video cassette that I'd like to post on Youtube. I can burn it on a DVD. My questions are:

1.How can I post it on Youtube? ( I would prefer to use a program that is free if available)

    2. After I post it I would like to edit it because it is a little too long for youtube. Is there a program I can use that is free to edit out the video so I can make the video shorter in lengh?

  • Is there a study abroad program in Japan for elementary and preschool children?

I would like my children to learn Japanese. I try to teach a little bit but I'm not fluent myself. I think the best way for them to learn is to immerse yourself in Japan and hear it all the time and use it. I see lots of programs for junior high, high school and college but not one for elementary school. I would like my children to go to a Japanese school for a month or so. In 2 years they would be in elementary school, Kindergarten and preschool. I want them to go to a Japanese school but it would be nice if the teachers speak in Japanese most of the time but are able to speak in English just in case my daughters had questions. I would be willing to help out in the classrooms as well. If anyone knows of a program that would have a school for all those level and it would also be nice if they had an adults class too. I know you cant be fluent in a month but I would like to go back every three years to retain the Japanese that they learn and to understand more of their culture.

  • Why didn't the Womens U.S. gymnastics team use any alternates?

During the recent Olympics, the U.S. gymnastics team (Women) had two injured athletes, Memmel and Peszek. Memmel was only able to compete on bars (on a broken ankle!). With so many injuries on the team, why didn't they get another alternates? No one was talking about it on T.V. is there a rule that I missed?

  • Need to find family's ancient scroll in Korea. Who do I ask for help or information? Where do I start?

During WW2, my great grandparents who are Japanese lived in Seoul, Korea during the Japanese occupation as a school teacher. He lived in a house there. After the war was over, he and his family had to flee or be killed. There was no time to pack. He hid the family scroll wich had our family history going back thousands of years on it and our family samurai sword in the house. He hoped to get it after the war settles down. He returned several months later but the new owner of the house told him to "get lost". Anyways, the scroll is very important to our family. Several family members have tried to go back but with no success. The last time someone went back she couldn't find it because they changed the cities layout with new construction. We don't even know if it still exists. We do have the old address. My question is who can I ask for help? Does Korea have a law there similar to U.S. warrant laws so we can search the home for our scroll? What about finding the location?
