  • Planning to meet up with a friend during my trip to Spain. How far is Valencia from Barcelona and Madrid?

So my friend lives in Valencia. Im planning a trip to Spain this coming December, but the people who travel with me will only be staying in Barcelona and Madrid so I have to go with them. As my friend is a local, she told me she'd be happy to find me where I am. Would it be best for my friend to meet me in Barcelona or Madrid (which one's the closest from Valencia)?

She'll probably e-mail me back next week but if I can get an answer from here first, that'd be appreciated. I've looked up some travel guides, but I figured it'd be more accurate to hear from those who live there. Thanks so much.

  • Okay to give special thanks on Facebook to my friends who did more than just a "happy birthday"?

A majority said nothing more than just a "happy bday" today even if they're supposed to be close friends (and I still do appreciate them -I'm in my early 20s so I understand people may hv classes or work)...

... but a select few have really made an effort by hanging out with me or even taking the time to chat amidst their busy schedules, so that's the BEST gift ever - their "quality time" means a lot to me. I value them and I want to acknowledge that.

Just a question: Is it okay for me to write a special post for them?

I don't want to exclude the ones who only said "happy birthday" but I really am very touched by those who actually make the time for me.

  • Is he refusing my compliment or just being modest?

I'm in regular contact with my favorite TV actor. He's got quite a decent resume but isn't that famous yet with less than 1500 followers on Twitter, so he always responds to his fans' tweets, including me (I've gotten around 15 back from him - he's very down to earth).

Finally he got a lead role in an upcoming summer show and in the promo video, I noticed for the first time that he dances (there was a little scene with him showing those moves). I tweeted him this morning to compliment his dance talent. But he tweeted me back saying "what? I can't dance at all!"

Is he refusing my compliment or just being modest? What do you think? Is there something wrong with my tweet? I mean well with the compliment. Someone told me he's just joking with me.

PS. He's a Pisces but I don't know if it has anything to do with horoscopes. He generally thanks me and other fans for praising his acting.

  • If you could make your own original Christmas song, what would be the title?

Feel free to be as creative as you like ;) Mine would be "Hot Chocolate on a Winter's Day"

  • Are Scorpio males really secretive & intense in general?

It's my first time of having a Scorpio crush (I liked him in the first place 'cause my friends think he likes me and my personality). I'm a 20 year-old Cancer, and he's 24.

He's very polite to people but is very much a perfectionist. Tends to criticize his own work. Whenever he's stressed out, he'd isolate himself from everyone. Are a lot of Scorpio guys mysterious like him??

    8 AnswersHoroscopes1 decade ago
  • Does this mean the Scorpio male loves this Cancer female?

They both go to this music academy, so music is their passion. Scorpio is a shy guitarist, while bubbly Cancer sings. He's 24, and she's 20. Some of the things he has done for her:

    * Carrying her guitar for her at times

    * Telling her directly: "You're the only girl with the best personality in my life. I've never met anyone like you before."

    * Saying that 'personality' matters most when it comes to finding a girlfriend

    * Teaching her guitar patiently (he's usually not that patient when he teaches other people)

The QUESTION: Is he trying to drop some hints on her? Are these signs that he likes her??? They both are in the same circle of friends. The thing is, he seems to have a moody personality. Sometimes he doesn't say hi to her at school, but when they go out together, he talks a lot with her (he does that to other friends too). Currently, he's stressed with assignments so he said he doesn't feel like getting a girlfriend 'til he finishes his course this coming September.

  • PASADENA ~ How far is 1299 E Green Street from 42 S Catalina Avenue?

Of course, I have done a MapQuest search but I can't just rely on that. Someone who lives in Pasadena, please let me know if S Catalina Avenue can be reached within a walking distance. I'm doing a short program at the California College of Music so I need to know if getting an apartment at E Green St would be close.

Plus: are they both SAFE areas for living? I noticed they're close to Pasadena City College so I guess it must be a safe community, huh? Thanks in advance.

  • What printer is best for a *DELL XPS M1330* laptop?

I need some input on what the suitable printers are, considering I'm not a techy girl. It'll be a bummer to end up with a printer that my laptop doesn't recognize, 'cause I don't have time to switch if it doesn't work. I'm using Windows Vista, by the way. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

  • Urgent ~ How diverse is the NOB HILL area in downtown SF???

Just a few minutes ago, a high school friend of mine suggested that we look up this apartment called Avalon in lower Nob Hill. Being new to the city and all, I have no clue if this is a safe neighborhood. I cringed, however, at the thought that Nob Hill is close enough to Tenderloin. I've walked around Tenderloin the other day and it seemed pretty messed up.

Both of us are not from the US (I myself have only lived in Australia & Indonesia) but he has been around for 2 years and assured me Nob Hill is fine. How good is the area?

  • Are both Outer & Inner Sunsets located in the same area??

It's my very first time in SF, so I could use a little help here (I'm NOT a tourist, so I'm going to stay for 6 months at the very least). How diverse is the Sunset district, really?

I would want to live in a warm & welcoming community, and it seemed that I've heard nothing but positive comments about the area. I'm done looking up apartments downtown, 'cause I've seen plenty of ignorant people around the streets, which sort of made me uncomfortable.

  • Orange juice VS. Oreo shake... Which would you rather have right now??

Please wish me all the best, 'cause I'll be leaving for San Fran in 2 hours. I've NEVER been there before, let alone the US (the only two places I've lived in are Indonesia &Australia), but having grown up in a diverse community, it's normally easy for me to make new friends with people from different walks of life. So... hopefully I'll fit right in. Just turned 20, by the way =]

  • Apartments near the Academy of Art University??? Am making the move to SF next week...

... yet I'm still running on options from CraigsList.com. Anyone who lives in San Francisco, I'd really appreciate it if you can point out some good apartments around the city. As long as the rate isn't higher than $1600, I'd settle for it, as I'm only staying for around a year before moving to LA.

I'm NOT from the US. The only 2 places I've lived in are Indonesia & Australia. What matters most for me is finding a place in a diverse & friendly neighborhood but it's still close enough to the Academy of Art. Right now, I have the Oakwood Apartment on my list, but I'd also like to look up other places.

  • What are the chances of finding a genuinely nice guy in the US?

I just turned 20 and will be making the move to the US for the very FIRST time next week. The only places I've ever lived in are Indonesia & Australia, so I pretty much know what it's like to live in a diverse environment.

I've heard from my friends who live in the States that it's hard to find an American guy who doesn't take things for granted. You obviously know what I mean. How true is that??? Is there a chance I could find a decent and loyal boyfriend?? I'm not the kind of girl who like hook-ups and so on. I look for the 'real' thing.

Just FYI, I'm heading for SF to study but will be moving to LA to pursue a music career as soon as my green card has been granted.

  • What's your favorite *ethnic food*???

Mine would have to be Indonesian and Portugese... I love all things spicy, and that's what most of the food are served with. Yum! Having grown in a diverse community helped out with my interest in a variety of dishes.

  • The Winchester brothers *OR* the Cullen brothers??? (Twilight series/Supernatural TV show)

I know Sam & Dean are demon hunters, while Edward, Jasper & Emmett are vampires. But if you had to pick one, which would you go for?

Somehow, I wonder what it'd be like if Dean and Emmett run into each other. LOL
