America more than ever needs Christians who are willing to stand for Jesus IN HIS TRUTH. What do we glorify, what He can do for us, or glorify the One True God who send His Son for atonement of sin? Will YOU stand for the One who shed His Blood for you? Will YOU walk completely in His ways? Will YOU show God to a godless society?
For those evolution believers?
If evolution is fact, how come scientists haven't been able to recreate life from nothing?
30 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoIf America wasn't built on Biblical principles...?
then how did all the federal buildings in Washington have Scriptures on the wall? I have even seen old court buildings across the country have God inscripted in the concrete walls. If "separation of church and state" was on their thoughts when writing the Constitution (which it isn't), then these Scriptures and mention of God would never have been in these buildings.
Maybe our forefathers knew we needed God. Strange how government doesn't "need" Him now...considering the mess we're in now.
Now that we've taken those solid foundations out of America, can you see the nation begin to crumble...
9 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoChristians and the time of the writings...?
this is worth it from both sides.
I have seen where Christians make an argument that, since the Bible was written by different authors over 2500 years ago, how is that some Christians judge certain things because of cultural times, hence, not accept its Truth? If this attitude is taken, throw out the WHOLE Bible, since ALL of it was written in different cultures and times. I had no idea God made a mistake like this. If He is all knowing, wouldn't He ALREADY known of the changes?
If the Word says that it is God inspired, should we not take ALL of it and follow its wisdom and teachings? If it doesn't define God and the relationship we should have due to culture change, then the Bible no longer applies.
Is the Bible ALL God inspired and truth yesterday, today or tomorrow or is it nothing?

2 AnswersOther - Computers1 decade agoSerious questions for Christians?
How is it that Christians argue, since in the Bible it is not mentioned of Jesus speaking specifically of homosexuality. Where do people get this idea that if GOD says it's wrong, but Jesus never said anything about it, that it is OK? Where do people come up with this reasoning and disregard the rest of the Word? Yet, if Jesus is God, then he would never speak against His Father and the Word. You can't pick and choose what the Word endorses or condemns. No gray here.

What is more important -
Jesus as Savior OR Jesus as Lord? I saw an answer that anyone who accepts Jesus as Savior is a Christian but I do not totally agree. Matthew 7:21-23 states "Lord, Lord..." If He is not your Lord, than are you really a Christian?

Does your everyday life bring glory to God?
Do people see the Holy Spirit in you at work and witnessing to others, or do you leave the theatrics at church?
Looking for honesty, just want to see where people's hearts are, if humble or not.

11 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoSean Hannity vs. James Dobson?
Looking for opinions, if you heard their debate, once on his radio show and on Hannity and Colmes Monday night. Should Christians compromise their standards just to prevent Hillary from the White House, or is there a candidate to endorse.
I have yet to see a candidate I could endorse.
I know this is a political question, but looking for R&S responses.
9 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoTime for ANOTHER BOLD question...Christians>?
I asked an earlier question about female pastors, right or wrong. Quite a few mentioned cultural changes as a reason.
If the Bible says in Malachi that "I, the Lord, do not change," how did the interpretation change in the Bible? Did it "change" because of the cultural change? If it did, then God must have changed with the culture. We have a paradox here.
If the Bible is ALL God inspired, then even when it is was written, would still be effective today as it was yesterday. If Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow, how does the Word change from culture to culture if He doesn't?
24 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoTime for a BOLD question, Christians...?
Do you believe a woman can be a pastor for a church?
I know many people use the adage "that was then, this is now" but that means the Bible is no value because of its age. Yet, we claim that the Bible is 100% authoritative and God inspired.
You can't have it both ways.
Can a woman lead spiritually over a congregation when she is not the spiritual leader in her own home? I am not talking Sunday school teacher, I am referring to pastor/reverend. Pastors have spiritual authority, yet, God placed the man in that position at the basic foundation of family. Does that mean the family structure is nonfunctional when it enters into the doors of the church?
Something to ponder. Curious on the different answers I will get, since it is a basic yes or no question.
36 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoJust Christians, please? Let's get to the point?
Do we Christians believe we can live an ungodly life and still reap the rewards of heaven? I seen a question on homosexuality (there are more examples, I am not trying to single out this sin) and the answers were manipulative on Scripture.
Look, we all fall short of the glory of God. We all have sinned. But does God truly desire to still live in that sinful nature, or do we desire to live our lives as a living sacrifice for Him?
Holiness and obedience pleases God. This draws us nearer to Him, which enables us a deeper relationship with Him. We are forgiven, but only if we are truly sorry for our wrongs against Him.
Our love would be to do His will, not to do our will and live our lives according to our selfish desire. We are to take up our cross, deny ourselves, and follow Christ. This is to be Christlike, and Christ was sinless. Never lusted, never was a homosexual, never stole, He showed us the way.
Can we live this way, pleasing God instead of ourselves?
12 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoHow come some Christians manipulate the Bible...?
for their own interpretation and reasoning?
I saw an answer where someone responded that homosexuality is not a sin in the Bible. Where does this logic come from? If God calls something an abomination, this is a terrible wrong. It also mentions in the NT that He gave them over to believe the lie. Is lying not a sin?
So, how does God NOT call something a sin when He says it is a wrong? It is not for us to manipulate Scripture for our pleasure, it is their for our teaching and correcting for our relationship with God.
20 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoChristians, are you ready for this one?
why do some Christians subject Jesus' teachings and neglect the rest of the Bible (notably the NT)?
I just read the Q on "gay Christians," using "Jesus never mentioned 'homosexuality,'" but neglect the rest of the Bible teachings on this and fornication, which falls in this category. Can anyone claim Paul was not well versed and knowledgeable in Scripture, since he visited the third heaven and received straight revelation from the throne of grace.
Why do we use what was not written and "taught" by Jesus in the gospels, but yet written in the rest of the NT?
The Bible says that not everything Jesus did could be written...

8 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoatheists, what are your reasons...?
Why do you spend so much time fighting something you do not believe in? I find it ironic you usually throw two bits in a conversation concerning your unbelief in God which, of course, you say does not exist. So why toss vain to the wind in a religious question because you have no hope in eternity?
