What is the difference between univariate and multivariate regression analysis?
This is embarrassing, but I can't quite remember and I have to give grand rounds Monday. I need to have my statistics down pat.
7 AnswersMathematics1 decade agoLong story. However, as succinctly as possible. . .my dear friend who has been married. . .?
. . .to a wonderful woman for 20 years and has 3 kids has literally recently realized that he is gay. We both know of people who, although gay, have married anyway---often with disasterous results. We don't know anyone who has suppressed his sexual orientation to such a degree that he married and only later realized he is gay. Do you? How did the couple deal with this? What would you counsel?
5 AnswersLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender1 decade agoI need help with my 11 year old black lab. Could she be getting senile?
She recently, when taken out to relieve herself, does so while continuing to walk down the road. She doesn't go find her usual area in the grass for her BM, but just continues to walk along with my husband, and moves her bowels as she walks. It's as if she doesn't even realize she is doing so. The BMs are normal and she isn't acting ill. She is eating normally. What is up?
6 AnswersDogs1 decade agoDoes anyone have heart healthy soul food recipes and/or heart healthy authentic Mexican recipes?
I am a cardiologist and given the population I work with, I really need palate pleasing low fat/low salt recipes for African Americans and Mexicans with heart disease. Patients ask for these all the time. Ideas?
2 AnswersCooking & Recipes2 decades agoHow can I treat my black lab's arthritis without using medications that will increase bleeding?
She has seen the vet and was given a cox 2 inhibitor that has resulted in stomach ulceration and gastrointestinal bleeding. She is now recovering from the stomach trouble, but can hardly get around due to arthritic pain. Do vets ever use tylenol type products on dogs? I'd imagine that would be harmful to a lab's liver. Suggestions? I would hate to have her in pain and hate more to euthanize her.
