And I'm clearly not "technologically adept", so small words please :)

My friend and I want to go somewhere on vacation. She has about a week off from school in the beginning of June, so that's when we want to go. I've never been out of the country and we want to go somewhere warm so we've been thinking maybe Cancun or Costa Rica. But we don't know anything about what areas or hotels to look at. I was hoping for some ideas - someplace we'll have fun (we're 24), but we're not looking for the wild college scene. Where have you gone and LOVED? We're open to pretty much anywhere warm - Cancun and Costa Rica are just a starting point. Help us out, please?

My friend's youngest is about 1 1/2 and is always sick - that gross, snotty kind of sick. Plus he's had a cough for practically a year. She brought the cough up to the doctor and the doctor's thought was asthma and gave them albuterol to try.

Here's the thing though - I doubt it's asthma. Or not ONLY asthma. Her house is always a mess and her kids are just plain germy and gross. They cough & sneeze without covering their mouths, they walk around with snotty noses which if she does anything about them it's to whipe it on her sleeve or their own shirts (seriously). They never wash their hands - last time I was there they didn't even have soap in the bathroom, I had to go to the kitchen.

Her kids are always sick because they don't even do the simplest things to prevent spreading their germs back and forth!

Here's my question - how to I tell her that her house is a nasty, her kids are disgusting and pretty much the reason people around them get sick without hurting her feelings?

I've looked on his "official" site and checked Ticketmaster, Ticketsnow and TicketsWest. The only thing I can come up with is his Toy benefit concert in California, but I thought he would have gone on tour for this latest album. Anyone know anything about plans being made for a tour? I'm dying to see him live!

I got help with my cover letter and most of the sites I went to for advise said to include that I would contact the employer within a certain amount of time to follow-up on the application (I said within 10 days). I turned in the application Wednesday and Thursday morning I got the generic "Dear Applicant, we've received your application" email. In it, it says that if they want to interview me I will hear from them within 2 weeks.

My question now is do I still follow-up like I said I would? I worry that if don't contact them I'm showing them that I'm flakey and don't follow through with things I say I will. But if I do, I worry that it says to them that I either didn't pay attention to the fact that they said they'd contact me or I'm impatient and just plain didn't care.

I'm sure this comes off as paranoid, but I really want this job. Thoughts from anyone who has been in this situation? Or maybe employers/hiring managers?

I have a guy friend in prison and I get to ask him a lot of those questions that you've always wanted to know about prison. One thing I asked about was communal underthings - do they get their very own or are they like sheets and they just get what they get when the laundry comes back. He said that when you get to jail you get your own stuff but it's only new to you.

So now I want to know if this is true for women's prisons too? Are the panties and things only new to you? And what are the bras like? Do they match? I assume they don't have underwires, but do they have any kind of support at all? Also, what about tampons? My friend said that he has to buy all of his own hygiene products (soap, toothpaste, etc) does that apply to tampons and such in the women's prison?

I know these are weird questions but I'm just curious if there are any women out there who have been to prison and can let me know? Thanks!

I went through Volt last summer and got a nice little job mailing invoices. A friend of mine once got something where she was tagging things in some Nordstrom factory. No real luck with them this summer and the only other agency I've been able to find has been Labor Ready (sket-chy). Right now I'm in the middle of a search for a real job, but I need to make a little money in the meantime. I just want something for a couple of weeks, somewhere I don't really have to interact with customers. Any ideas for where I can go?

The belt from my car's air conditioner was removed because it was making a weird noise. The guy told me that he'd need to order a new belt and I still haven't heard from him. Is this an easy fix? Can I just buy a belt and put it on myself? If so how do I do this? I've looked under the hood and see the wheel the belt goes on but I don't see where else it attaches. Are there specific instructions somewhere that can tell me what to do? Or should I just pay the 100+ bucks or so to have someone else do it?

So my car is a 93 Subaru Impreza with a manual transmission (don't know if that's important). It started making this weird clicking sound two days ago. I'm not a car person at all and the best way I can describe the noise is cards in the spokes of a bike. It seems to be connected with my RPMs - it's faster whenever I start the car or accelerate. I looked under the hood with it running and looking at it from the front of the car it seems to be coming from the left side near the silver tube things.

I've tried looking it up and have seen things about "pinking" but that seems to be related to gas and I've been using the same gas for five years. The day the noise started a friend of mine stalled the car (it was pretty loud) but I stalled that car plenty when I was learning to drive. Plus it started for me fine right after that - it was the next time that the noise started.

Lots of info but hopefully it gets me an answer. I'm hoping this may be inexpensive to fix. PLEASE help!
