To further my blacksmithing skills I am currently working on making a musket, I plan on using home-made black powder to possibly sell (Not sure if it's legal in the England). My question mainly revolves around the Ballmill it's self as I am unsure of how good the quality needs to be for it to be effective in making black powder.

I plan using an electric screwdriver, vice, putty and a vitamin/protein bottle. Basically I'm going to drill a hole into the centre of the bottle and put the drill bit within the hole while I put putty onto to deal it, the vice is to hold it onto a table. I realise the media needs to be lead/ceramic balls to not create sparks, however does the bottle need to be made out of metal to properly mix the material or is plastic fine? Also, will a cheap electric screwdriver be powerful enough to mix the material (especially if the container does need to be metal)

As for the materials I'm going to be using, I plan on using Saltpeter/Potassium Nitrate, Sulphur and Charcoal. I'm going to grind up all these materials to a powder form first using a very fine sieve then I will proceed by measuring the correct amounts. I plan on using 5x as much potassium nitrate as charcoal powder, and 2/3 as much sulfur as charcoal, so a 75:15:10 ratio basically. Does this look all correct?
