I have a patent pending on a charcoal grill that can top down broil like an industrial restaurant broiler. I want to produce a product on par with weber barbeque grills. The problems are 1) I'm new to manufacturing 2) I'm bootstrapping 3) So far prototype production bids have been from $300 to $20,000 (yes $20,000). Since I'm looking for a retail price point of $150 per unit I need to find a way to bring the per unit price down without owning a factory. Any ideas suggestions guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
