  • what should I do? Sister problem?

    My Sister has been going through a tough time. I finally got her to talk to me. for 4 years her and her husband of +20 years have been having threesomes, well one thing led to another and she developped feelings for the other girl. She is torn and confused, loves them both and doesnt know what she should do.. some of the things are: If she leaves him - the house has to be sold...they are not young realtively he is retired she is about 10 years away from retiring. She is scared to pursue a relationship with her new"Crush" and where it will lead , and of course he knows the way she feels. Its a real mess. Any suggestions that I should be telling her;

If I tell her -dont be stupid. what are you doing I will seem like a bad sister. I ahve asked her to way her Pros and Cons and she cant go a day without crying morning noon and night.

I have suggested councelling for her and for her to stay here for a couple of days away from both,,,so she can clear her head.

  • Am I overreacting? Christmas card etiquette?

We just got our first christmas card- I was so excited to get the first one! Even if it seems unintentional would you be insulted if the card came in and read to" The. last name.." family, and not addressed to the parent! I know personally if I sent my mother a card like that, Instead of addressing it to" mom or dad" she would not talk to me for weeks.... what about your opinion, am I overreacting to this..

  • Other then agression training?

We have adopted a rescue dog. we have had him for amonth. Surprisingly - he is mostly submissive ( we call him our gentle giant) , he heals, sits, stays, lyes down, yes we can rub his tummy. I can put my hand near his dish- remove it - If I have to! Twice now in the past week he has become excited agressive ( there is no other way to describe it) while on walk, he'll start jumping up and down and nip (bite) Once, this week he did this and we corrected him, again tonight while my eldest 18 was walking him, he did it again, only this time when she tried to stop him, saying "No" he bit her hard.

What are some good "techniques" that we can work with him ( to get him through this phase)

P.S we start agression training in January ( all other classes in a 20 mile radius) are booked until after christmas, but want to know some techniques are ideas before hand

  • What would you do if somebody ran over your dog on purpose?

What would you do if somebody ran over your dog with a wheelchair?

MY eldest (18) was walking the dog for his afternoon jaunt and this lady zoomed by in her wheelchair , running over his right front paw... He was limping so off to the vet we went, and she broke 2 small bones in his paw.

Needless to say, my daughter asked her what her problem was and the lady was like it wasnt my fault your dog is HUGE.

So what is it with some people who think their motorized wheelchair gives them the right to run down pedestrians or animals?

    What would you do?

needless to say - my daughter almost 'clocked the woman"

  • my dog - Used Kleenex fetish?

In the house. I can control the used kleenex issue...such as placing it in a closed garbage can. the kleenex can be in the bathroom( not used ) no problem.

Everything he picks up- no problem. I ask him to leave it or drop it. heck no problem.

but when it comes to a piece of kleenex outside. Its like World War 3. Even bribery with a treat does not get him to drop it..

I am frustrated. Is there any other tips that I could try?

  • Has your Dog ever had a cold?

Seriously- I have seen on here, people answering that dogs do not get colds... Well

Mine has the sneezes and fever. No its not Kennel Cough. We went to the vet, aspirin and liquids- no congestion so his lungs are clear, We go back in 2 days if he continues to be under said weather. Then the vet might prescribe antibiotics!!

So has this ever happened to your dog?

What kind of antibiotics were prescribed for your dog?

  • What does is mean when your dog?

Pushes his food bowl with his nose, kind of like a slight push, then glides his nose from oneside to the other side of the bowl. Stares at his food then does it again

There is food in the bowl. We recently adopted a rescue dog and still trying to get him to eat decently....Does this mean he doesnt like or want the food in his bowl..

  • Homeschooling a child with a disability?

How many parents would stay at home to homeschool their child if they had a mild disability and ADHD?

However, Pyschologists, Pathologists and social workers are telling you that better educated professionals will be better able to assist your child for their educational needs.

Would you continue to homeschool or accept the help thats offered?

I have a friend who is torn between, continuing with homeschooling and following specialists critical advise. She has even had SAC threaten to take her child away.

I want honest opinions and answers,

  • how do you get your child to sleep on their own?

    In reference to another question,

I had always allowed my kids to hop in with us if they had a bad dream or were not feeling well, bad thunderstorm and well my girls just stopped on their own.

However my son is now 9! and I cant seem to break him out of the habit.

More often then not- I wake up to find him in our bed.

He is getting to big to sleep in our bed...Especially since we are in a Queen- he moves all over...

I used to wake up in the middle of the night to find him in our bed, For no reason, no bad dream, I would pick him up and put him back in his bed

Now, he has gotten smart. So I don"t feel him climb in our bed I wake up in the morning to find him on my husbands side (or at the foot of the bed or on the floor with his comforter, ( this is 4-5 nights a week) and of course dad never feels him climb in bed

I have tried telling him he is a big boy and doesnt need to sleep with mom and dad, unless he has a bad dream or there is a big storm, we got him a night light too and yet no go, we have even talked to him about being scared of the dark, hence the nightlight and we leave the bathroom light on.

I am having a "B&*tch of a time getting him to sleep in his own bed. I want to know some more ideas on how to break the habit..

  • Opinions Please- Naming the baby?

We have dilema. When naming a baby should you be using a name thats a close family member? If you decide to use that name even though the person feels disrespected should you still use that name ?
