VERY vague lyrics question?
This is extremely vague, and hard to explain over the internet, but can anyone tell me the song (it came out in the 80's or 90's, and was very popular) that starts with a bunch of men singing "woah woah woah"? Not really the actual words exactly, but stretched out and fluctuating volume? wooooahaOOOaOOaoAAA?
2 AnswersLyrics1 decade agoCan anyone name this song? ?
I've searched for the lyrics for over an hour, but I can't find this song. It's decently new, and it starts with lyrics something to the effect of "lay your head down on my shoulder..." and the chorus goes something like "let me be the one to.." I forgot the rest of the words, but in the chorus it's a somewhat monotonous singing, with the last two words finally differentiating.
2 AnswersLyrics1 decade agoSalary with Fringe Benefits? ?
I just researched how much money I'll be making at a new job I'm wanting to take up, and the reported total is right over $40,000 with fringe benefits. I know what fringe benefits are, but for someone living in Oklahoma, is this a good salary? Thanks!

5 AnswersLaw Enforcement & Police1 decade agoState Troopers/ Sheriff's Deputies...?
To all the Troopers: Do you like your jobs? Is it more than sitting in the Patrol car all day, and working accidents/ Traffic violations?
To the Deputies: I ask you the same questions. Also, does someone have a good chance of becoming a patrolling Deputy on the streets after they are hired as a Detention Officer? All the Sheriff's Officer even realatively close to where I live (OKC) are only hiring Detention Officers.
Thank you, to both Troopers and Deputies, for your service. You are my heroes and the heroes of many others for what you do for us each day. No matter what some may say negatively about you, you will always have supports like me.
8 AnswersLaw Enforcement & Police1 decade agoQuestion regarding privacy....?
Ok. Here's a situation I was curious to see how most of you would react to:
Let's say there's a very suspicious man that is under watch by many federal agencies and is thought to have national security secrets on his laptop. You suspect this man of having them also, and you have the chance to illegaly search his laptop, but you will be caught. Now, if you are right, and he does have this information, you will save the country and be regarded as a hero. But, if your information is wrong, and you violate this man's privacy and find nothing, you will be fired from you job, and be seen as a discrimatantory fool forever.
Do you think it is ok, in our current trying times, to unlawfully check this man's laptop, even though you are almost certain that he is guilty? Also, you have no physical proof.
3 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoHighway Patrol or PD?
I really can't decide which orginazation to join. I love the aspect of Law Enforcement in which you show up to different scenes to help people, no matter what the situation. I don't really just wan't to be sitting in a car and only handing out speeding tickets all day for months on end. I'd like to do more than that. I enjoy the Highway patrol because many consider them to be the "Elite" of LE. But, I like the Aspect of PD where you show up to someone's house to help out with their problems, and working a specific town for years.
Any insight would be appreciated.

Can someone please tell me what being a US Marshal is like? I'm wondering if they get much time at all off, what their families have to go through, etc. I'm planning right now to serve at least 4 years in the US Marine Corps, and then try to take a job as a US Marshal. Thank you.
P.S: Does anyone know what US Marshals do at their basic training?
