Hi folks. My son and I want to start making pod casts (about such important topics as Star Wars, Dr.Who, and Star Trek) but are newbies to the vast world of recording software. In your opinion what is the most efficent, but still relatively user friendly brand out there?

I'm working with Windows Vista.

I just recently bought a 3g iPod touch, and although all aspects seem to be working fine, it hasn't picked up MANY of my songs. For some of them I know why...they were ripped from other cd's and I'll likely just have to reload them to get itunes to recognize them. The others tho, (roughly 100) were purchased through iTunes. They are (thankfully) still in itunes, and I can listen to them on my pc, but as you might imagine, I want to sync them to the iPod proper. Any suggestions?

My friend is giving me her old iphone 3g. I will need to jailbreak/unlock it, as t-mobile is my carrier. I've pretty much settled on what software to use for that (cydia, but if you have a different suggestion, feel free to add so I can do the research). I don't want to use any internet services, so no data plan is needed.

My question is, is there still a possibility that t-mobile might charge me for a such a plan, even if I'm not using it?

I'm a fan of Zuma Blitz, Scrabble, Lexulous, Words With Friends, 3 Word Story, & Vampire Wars. What about your favorite (s)? Any suggestions?

After experiencing trouble in opening the pictures from my Canon Power Shot A1100IS camera (PC was not recognizing the camera although it was on, plugged in, and the proper software downloaded I followed the advice of pressing the windows symbol and e, which opened the file & displayed the photos) I cannot get flickr to download them. When I click "download photos" my camera is listed, it shows that the file is now empty. Any suggestions at what might be the problem, and better yet, steps I might take to fix it? I hope my predicament is clear, it's kind of hard to convey in the written word. Thanks in advance!

Our dog (a german shepard-corgie mix) is a gentle giant. However, this afternoon, when a friend that owns two cats came over, he began to nip at her. It started out somewhat playfully, then escalated to whenever she was near he would approach her and take a small nip in her direction. Said friend was really getting along with our dog, so I'm venturing to say that he could smell her cats and was reacting to that. As soon as she left, the nipping stopped completly. When he did it I would say "No bite" in a firm voice and he would stop for a few minutes, but in the end she had to leave. Needless to say that I was mortified. By the way, he's in obedience class, and doing quite well...he just seems incapable of turning off his instinct to go after cats, squirrels, etc. (this is true when we're taking him on a walk as well). Your ideas will be appreciated.

I'm about to use China Glaze LOL, a beautiful purple holo in its own right, but I want it to have just a wee bit more holo effect, or simply put, bling. I've read conflicting opinions about whether or not to put a top coat over a holo and am curious to what others think.

In addition, if you do like holos, what are some of your favorites? Or, for that matter, nail polish color in general.

I usually don't care for "this" or "that" questions, but after reading a few discussions on imdb about the subject I was just wondering what the general opinon might be.

I like both, as Pixar has put out such gems as "The Incredibles" and "Up" but Dreamworks has "Flushed Away" and "Shrek". My "other" would have to Aadman Animation...makers of Wallace and Gromit. (and I think they had input in Flushed Away as well).

Anywho, what's your fave?

I'm stoked/shocked that Fox let it air for another season, and am having a hard time finding a concrete air date.

To my dismay I recently aquired the WinPC Trojan on my computer. I understand what it is, and have, following the advice of numerous websites, downloaded the SpyWare Doctor virus clean up system to illiminate it. And it does....until I turn on my computer again. I might add that even when it says it's removed (and according to my programs list it is removed) two windows near the bottom right hand corner remain in tact (Firewall Warning and Update Alert, both stemming from the WinPC trojan). It goes with out saying that I am about to lose my mind. Any answers as to why this might be happening and/or what I can do to truly get this blasted thing off my computer for good?

It's just a snippet...playing while Lydia writes her " I am utterly alone.." suicide note.

I've checked on IMDB, and Amazon to look at/listen to the soundtrack, but to no avail.

It's driving me crazy..it's a beautiful piece.

Finally, my question:

The amount of time between Buffy's (2nd) death and being brought back to life is just shy of 5 months. Wouldn't there immediatley be a new slayer? I kept looking for hints in the sixth season,but found none. Perhaps I'm not as far into Buffyverse as I believed.

Kid meaning specifcally a four year old.We'll be traveling there in July ( staying for 10 days) and already have a free pass for Sea World, acsess to a pool and are staying a place in close proxiemity to the beach. These are all things we will take advantage of, but was just curious to any suggestions a recent vactioneer and/or native might have.

Okay, that being said, I wish to hear about your child's biggest meltdown, public or private, in order to compare it with my four year old's Damienesque behaviour tonight at the Taco Del Mar.

There was screaming, kicking,back arching and licking an ice cube off the floor. I also managed to spill a coke. All this happened in front of a large group of people, and why? I know not...moments before things were perfect. All is well, and ( just in case ) I am not looking for advice on how to handle said, I just wanted to vent, remind myself that I'm not the only one, and in turn allow others to vent.

I'm kidding. It just that most questions in the History section seem as though they are taken strait from that night's homework assigment.

Although some answers ( I dare say the majority ) are correct, there is such a wide margin of error with Yahoo Answers and internet sources in general (unless you visit an .edu sight or something akin to that)..just hope that these people recheck their sources, and shudder to think...research the information themselves.

History is incredibly interesting. Filled with as much melodrama, sex, violence, and intrigue as a summer blockbuster.

What two songs and or bands on your ipod are complete polar opposites? You know the two..the songs that, should your ipod ever be stolen would simply confuse the thief as to what kind of music you liked.

As I have a three year old, I have quite a few children's songs. ( thankfully he does like David Bowie, Violent Femmes, and the B52's as well)

That being said, I would have to say that my polar opposite songs would be "Apples and Bananas " by Raffi and "MTV Get off the Air" by the Dead Kennedys.
